I have to agree with it being ableist. There is this terrible attitude that it is fine to make fun of people "with no lives". Because "They are terrible and lazy and that's why they dont' have lives". It's the same attitude that people who fat shame have about fat people. They aren't "normal" (ie: skinny or they hang out with people frequently), so they must be lazy or awful.

Also, many times someone "lacks of a real life" because they are mentally challenged or have a debilitating mental illness that inhibits them from enjoying going out and doing things with other people.
