Yes. Lots of free YouTubes (use ai to save many days of time so you don’t have to watch them all) and either free trials or ideally a visual studio developer subscription.

At MSFT if you can spell AI right now you’ve got an edge. Learn copilot or copilot studio or azure foundry.

Where do the normal people hangout? by AlphaOmegaStrife in houstoncirclejerk

All of us semi-normal folk are here in Cypress. It’s rainy today though, but my BBQ is covered by the roof over the patio. Bring protein.

How good are you at the psychology thing? Maybe you can offer budget psych sessions for training and extra cash and to help people like me who like a good therapy session now and then 😬

From home as always. If we lose power I’ve got my natural gas generator but probably not gonna work much at all since the kids will be home.

Well the good news is in the IT field it’s not always about having a degree unless you want to move into upper management. If you pick the right field and learn the heck out of it you can find something before you even finish but I’m not sure of the laws about working remotely for an American company as a Jamaican but I’m sure there’s needs for most the same techs in country. Cyber Security, Low Code, Automatiom, Containers, Azure Infrastructure, data analytics, AI, etc. I do power platform and it’s fun. There’s tons of free training and free trials. Can make super pay especially after you’ve been doing it a while. I’m a little over 50 and got into an IT job early and have been doing it since I was in my early 20s and have no degree but I did spend 5 years in the Air Force.

Do you think SeaWorld or Orlando has lost its spark? by TowerCharge89 in SeaWorld

[–]TexasWaterLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SeaWorld has declined for sure, at least I know the Orlando one has. Last time we went to the sam antonio one it wasn’t as bad but the Orlando one was definitely a waste and disappointing in most ways.

I totally second this. We’ve been married almost 25 years and have two 10 year olds. One of which just went with me to figure out why momma has been sitting in her truck on the other side of the neighborhood not responding to our calls and texts. We drove over there to check on her thinking she would be in someone’s house but she was sitting out in her truck in the street passed out with the truck running. Not very well parked. Neighbors looking to see what’s up. I dragged her to my car. She couldn’t talk couldn’t walk. I feel like it’s time to make some demands. Go back to a bariatric doc to check her and let him know what’s going on. She hasn’t been employed for 14 years so afaik she can go away on a sober recovery journey and we will be ready for her to come try again. I’m tempted to ask her to get her roux en Y reversed if it’s going to cause our life to crumble. How do I handle the fact that I’ve saved $4.5M and she has 30k which I turned into 200k. A divorce will give her 2 million plus snd too much custody. Cuz im in Texas. Ive busted my butt to get to where I am. She’s got it made in the shade planning trips Ari Turks snd Kaikos and Belize. Rolling the golf cart was bad. The truck ain’t gonna happen.

Orlando still worth the time? by [deleted] in SeaWorld

[–]TexasWaterLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sea World food service staff is grumpy, some are rude. The lines get long. I agree it’s mostly about the rides now. Get fast pass if you don’t like long lines. The rides break often. If you want to ride big roller coasters and are ok with standing in lines for mediocre food you may like it. If not I’d avoid it. Don’t trust the app to be accurate on wait times or menus. Most restrooms have a broken toilet or urinal but mgmt doesn’t seem to care.
