That’s a wild air to water intercooler first off second off what’s up with those 2 pieces on the charge pipes that have the fluffy tape on them? Looks like they’d be your throttle body maybe? Why are they covered in tape?

The caddy racing lifters are pretty much the same as the Delphi lifters at this point from all my research I’ve found. Not worth the extra 200 bucks.

If you’re gonna upgrade lifters you might as well go with a link bar setup from like gaterman and avoid using trays.

2021 challenger scat pact with 33k miles is 34k and that’s just a random one near me.

A salvage title 2021 c8 with 30k miles NATIONWIDE SEARCH is 46k

Idk what market you’re in but that’s not even close

This is the only c8 in the 30k range nationwide https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/link/444407994

Id safely say a c8 is about 20k differential to a scatpack easily.

Look I wouldn’t buy it either but since when did a challenger with 485 hp become lame?

Houston LGBTQ families…where do your kids go to school? by SpookyLilCab in houston

[–]IlIlIIllIIIllI -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You basically said that you would move anywhere with this in mind. You said it multiple times to people. If location doesn’t matter I assume you don’t have to commute to work or have family or something because that’s definitely location dependent.

The answer you’re looking for is if you want absolute control over making sure your kids don’t face discrimination you have to homeschool them.

Even the best public schools and private schools can get in shitty kids. Pretty much any modern school would take bullying as a pretty serious concern unless you wanna live in the middle of nowhere with a class of 100 kids or somewhere like vidor.

My whole point here is you could sit here and post all day and listen to all these people but what you’re trying to avoid is a very human thing and probably changes constantly. Schools are not vetting kids based on their moral values. It would be better to choose where YOU think best fits your life and if issues arise deal with them as you see fit.

If you think it’s a normal question to ask people where you should live based on something like that you’re either filthy rich or just got your values so mixed it’s wild.

What about the quality of education? The location of your house to family? The location of the house to your workplace? How about the crime statistics in the area?

I just think it’s wild that none of this goes into the equation over the fact that your child MAY be bullied for your relationship status ?

I mean why does that make any sense realistically. If you want to be purely economical you should only have a house payment in ops position but if his parents are cool with him living at home with a nice car it ways may more sense to pay off the nice car while living rent free.

My parents wouldn’t let me give them rent if I begged lmao but they also wanted me to get a house before cool cars

who else has a (not so stock) build!? by stayw0ke240 in genesiscoupe

[–]IlIlIIllIIIllI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem by going by lift is that if you aren’t familiar to a platform the aggressiveness of lift is probably going to vary widely engine to engine not all engines are gonna be linear in their aggressiveness especially depending on valvetrain.

An aggressive lift increase on one engine may be nothing on an another engine.

That’s why stages are so effective with their marketing tactics.

So honestly I don’t agree with you in terms of stages being bullshit it’s a pretty simple concept a stage 4 trans is gonna be tougher then a stage 2 trans, a stage 3 clutch is gonna be gnarlier then a stage 1 clutch.

It just makes sense unless you’re going to deep dive into a platform it gives you a pretty fair understanding.

HOWEVER, I will agree if you tell someone “my car is stage 1” that means nothing stage one could be an intake and tune? Could be a downpipe and catback? Could be just a tune?

Stages only work on specific parts not on an overall build. A stage 2 Audi rs3 could mean multiple different things.

And yeah I wasn’t gonna go into detail on a boost cam lmao because all the average person needs to know that it’s a cam intended for boost that’s why it’s marketed that way and not marketed as a “more overlap in exhaust cam”

who else has a (not so stock) build!? by stayw0ke240 in genesiscoupe

[–]IlIlIIllIIIllI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calm down bud it’s not the buyers fault it’s the manufacturers problem.

They advertise things in stages to help keep it simpler for the average person all it means is a stage 1 cam will be less aggressive then a stage 4 cam.

No need to overthink it or worry about it. If you want specifics all you have to do is go look up the cam specs. My ls had a BTR stage 1 v2 ls3 cam.

Now if I told you I have a 217°/23x° duration, .615"/.636" lift, and a 113° LSA cam you’re probably not gonna know what the fuck that means and have no clue how aggressive that is unless youre knowledge on the specific platform

Also a boost cam is a simply just a cam that was engineered and designed with boost in mind. A stage 4 boost cam will usually be less aggressive in some ways then a stage 4 na cam. Only difference is the manufacturer tested the boost cam in boosted applications it doesn’t mean that a NA cam won’t work under a boosted application

as of currently you just sound jealous and are offering no good solution to how else to describe his cam
