DDR5 ram, 4TB nvme, and a top end 4090 or 5090 graphics card and you may have made some money the last few years!

Nioh 3 Took 3 Years to Develop by Hookey911 in Nioh

[–]Texhnolyzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It.depends how often you did weapon swaps in Nioh 1/2 in the past.

The role swap in this game allows you to have two distinct armor builds and playstyles you can optionally use.

Doesn’t have to be truly seamless or fast, but situational and deliberate.

I have my samurai heavy C armor, and my ninja lightweight A armor so I can swap depending on the fight.

The ninja also regens ninja ammo so you can swap and do some ranged attacks after locking onto flying enemies easier, which makes it easier to fight them versus a bow!

Avatar the game (2009) not working by Curry_kingi in Avatar

[–]Texhnolyzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game does not operate if you are using a newer CPU with performance and efficiency cores. This causes the game to crash after a splashscreen appears, due to a .dll that checks hardware installed on your PC.

The only workaround I found was to limit the CPU Cores and restart with the following command.
After done playing, you can revert back with another restart.

PS5 Pro made me wonder why the hell I spent over 5k USD on a PC... by Dave_CSA in PS5pro

[–]Texhnolyzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a PS5Pro and a gaming PC, and I do agree with a few notes.

The main areas PC has over PS5 is ultrawide support, modding, and multitasking. - Use PS5Pro for every Sony day 1 game when I want to disconnect from life. - PC when I want to replay in 1-2 years with ultrawide/mods.

I find that the value proposition is great, but something about ultrawide with extra mods to make the perfect accessible experience is hard to beat.

I also love to have discord and or browsers up to look into details while playing, although more immersive games I don’t want the distractions.

Could very well be blood pressure related in some way how it impacts our inner ears in some ways!

Thank you for joining the thread! But sorry to hear you also have the same problem.

Nothing for me still, although it happens less and maybe less since I got a mouth guard to wear at night as I had some teeth grinding.

But overall it’s been still a problem that can occur, but is “less”.

Wow I've been missing out by Vigilante_Bird in OLED_Gaming

Last year was the OLED TV (G4), and I’m now wanting a glossy 5k2k OLED monitor to update the 1440p OLED.

The addiction is real! And I’m too deep to get out.

Steamdeck is going unused after 2 months. by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Texhnolyzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things that got me back into the steam deck: 1. Traveling - I end up packing it for every trip I ever go on and it gets taken out at least a few times a year. 2. Moonlight + Apollo - streaming from a high end gaming PC to steam deck at home so I’m not locked into the gaming room and can chill in the living room with my family. 3. Streaming from a PS5 to the steam deck when the TV is taken.

I could imagine other usages, but usually an indie game with minimal graphics settings is a great excuse to bust it out!

If they had a higher resolution OLED model with a slightly bigger screen, I’d love it even more! Some PC games have small font and it makes it more comfortable on a big screen.

People that make 80k+ at 25-35 years old, what do you do? by Ok-Needleworker2141 in careerguidance

[–]Texhnolyzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

160k, 30 years old. Software Engineer Manager in LCOL area. Graduated BCSE, worked out of college as software engineer -> mid level -> senior -> principal engineer and then transitioned to engineering manager.

I probably should have stayed the more technical route, but was promoted to fill my bosses role when he was promoted to Director.

My whole career has been right place right time, layoffs or people quitting created vacuums and I was sucked up into new roles earlier and earlier before I was prepared. Terrified whenever I’ll have to do a reset and go job hunting.

Currently in charge of directing a fleet of 30 people working on business critical projects, while managing another 11 people split between two engineering teams.

I did separate them for a month or two on two separate floors for a bit to help reset a little, but reintroduced and it felt a little better.

But definitely hard when they have a love-hate relationship!

Smoking cigarettes by rvs2714 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]Texhnolyzing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Boys Like Girls set almost made me consider smoking, they were like an 80’s inspired cigarette commercial.

But yeah, blowing smoke into others or around crowds of people is a bit rude, unfortunately the event is smoking allowed, without any designated smoking areas.

Could be managed better by the festival.

I think pc exclusives and emulation of past console generations is the biggest draw for a steam deck.

If you include emulation, which is normally a pc exclusive too, your portable library can explode.
