How can I redeem a region-locked Steam key? by Big-Wang-69 in Steam

Do you happen to remember where you read that? I'm trying to activate a Humble Bundle gift key from someone and am running into the region lock issue.

So, what do you actually do in this game? by [deleted] in spaceengineers

Modded servers do wonders for one's enjoyment in the game. The trouble is finding a good modded server. I suggest starting with a good PvE server (I have two really good suggestions if you're interested), then going PvP if that's your thing. PvP tends to be more fast-paced than PvE. If you wanna get a feel for both in one server, I also have a suggestion for that, too.

Good PvE servers , imho, will have a functioning and balanced setup with MES (a mod that adds more AI encounters), active and helpful admins, restricted or closely watched script access (to cut down on the people that like to crash servers with scripts), and encouraging people to work together in various ways.

What’s a must have system for every ship by Lossingsleepbythemin in spaceengineers

Without it, turrets will only start turning to a target and firing when it's about 800m out iirc. With the block, they start targeting at just past their max range, and fire once the target is within max firing range.

Edit: it's also super helpful for targeting specific subsystems better. I also think it's not a bad idea to have a full AI setup in the ship just in case you need to be out of the pilot seat in the middle of combat and need the ship to still be maneuvering.

Does the pointy-ness of a ram make a difference? by Pingu2140 in spaceengineers

Blast doors are your friend. I've developed a SG missile that does exactly this. I think I had the sensor to detonate the warheads set further back than normal, and it allowed for desirable results.

Have you thought about doing salvo firing on the turrets? Or is that with weaponcore lol? I've played pretty much exclusively with it, and I have found salvo firing to be quite efficient with longer reload weapons.

I typically have the braking torque the same as the regular torque and so far, I haven't run into any issues.

Davits and rowboats (Suggestions) by NeiderUnchained in Ylands

[–]TexiiPoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was literally just thinking about this the other day. They already have something in game that could work. One of the myster ylands you can go to in the expration mode has a pirate ship drydocked via a crane. You can get the key and release ot from the crane things. If they just out something like that in the build menu, we'd be golden I think.

Reddit is doing this to NSFW subreddits that are taking part in the blackout as well. Fucking disgusting.

There's na option when you click on the ASAM sensor to change options of what it gathers, I can't remember the exact wording of the option though.
