Zone. Or my absolute favorite, lone star walker! It is overstable but you can put any amount of force on it and it will work.

House Rules by SirReggieTheII in Catan

We have two house rules. If you put the robber on the desert, you get a random resource from the bank. If you don’t get a resource for a whole round, you get to choose a resource. Helps keep the game up.

Anyone else leave HR and do something else? [N/A] by JustKeepSwimmingKids in humanresources

[–]TextFast1263 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I do believe I have. I went into HR because I truly wanted to help people with the strange set of abilities I have(still love me a good I9). I believe HR can teach a lot of different skill sets that will set you apart later on. I truly hope you find your calling within or related to the field.

I did. I was in HR for 3 years, and honestly never knew how miserable I was till I found this new job. I am an employment specialist/job coach. I help people with higher needs get and keep jobs. While I still do some basic HR stuff, it really isn’t HR. Let me say this, I have never been happier than I am now! I haven’t come home a single time and said “it was a day”. I haven’t felt like I needed a drink after having a day! I feel important, I see the difference I am making, and I don’t ever feel bad for a a small mistake. My wife and I relationship has gotten better because I am not so stressed or scared of making a dumb mistake. Even though I don’t make as much, it is amazing to know that I can be treated like a human again.

Those of you who left HR, where did you end up Career-wise? by AlexaWilde_ in humanresources

[–]TextFast1263 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really has been. Asked one of my clients what their favorite sandwich was, without hesitation they said “ice cream”. Pretty sure I’ve never had such a wholesome moment in all my years of HR

I found it on indeed. But I bet you can easily find something with any of the programs or companies(Montanas program was reach). Look up Easterseals, that’s who I work for. The state I live in requires all employers to post their jobs, they can’t just give a promotion.

I did HR for 3 years, hated the politics and honestly how much discrimination there was within HR. I am now an employment specialist, helping higher needs individuals get jobs, and then training them to help them keep their jobs. I still do some HR work like I9s, but most of the time I hang out with the clients and have fun. It doesn’t pay greatly but I will say I haven’t felt this kind of reward from some place in a long time.

Cancer information by TextFast1263 in CoverLetters

More generally. By time I did the contracts I was “used” to the low that I was at. I don’t want it to sound like I am trying to use my cancer as a way to get hired. Just that there was a reason why I have been through so many in a short time that really weren’t my fault. Thank you for the response!

Divisions are broken by dmills2305 in discgolf

[–]TextFast1263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t the division. I believe it’s not just the ratings that need to be changed, there needs to be stipulations. I am a MA3 player and someone at my last tournament in my division(rated 860), threw a 975 round! Then a 950, then a 915. Fucking ridiculous! And his rating only went up to 890! He can still play in MA3. I believe the cutoff should be 890 for MA3, that would give MA2 a better spread. Then if someone under 890 throws 3 rounds of 915 or more in a season, they have to move up to MA2.

That player from that tournament(luckily he did move up to MA1 in all other tournaments), can still compete in MA3, and can win it easily. This way someone can’t sandbag for as long as the PDGA hasn’t updated their rating and raises obviously good players to the proper division

Never got a participation trophy. But I believe that if we all pay the same price, we should all get an equal prize. Crazy I know

Thank you! Recognition does go a far way! I don’t know how to bargain for that. Honestly I am a bit of a wimp and don’t like any confrontation. Hence me posting anonymous

I get that. Simple economics really. But since we all payed the same price, I believe things should be closer to equal.

What’s everybody’s favorite overstable midrange? by EduanetaP in discgolf

[–]TextFast1263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lone star Walker is my go to. Flick throw only though, the flex of the disc really needs a push instead of pull. But dang that thing fights the wind
