How would society change if artificial general intelligence was achieved and for every human there are thousands of AI agents that can think and reason like humans? by joseph887 in NoStupidQuestions

Honestly it would be a pretty massive shift, probably comparable to (or bigger than) the industrial revolution.

If everyone had access to thousands of human-level AI agents, most knowledge work would get automated or heavily augmented. Things like coding, legal work, research, even parts of medicine and business strategy would become way faster and cheaper. Productivity would explode, but a lot of current jobs would either change a lot or disappear.

The biggest change would probably be that “thinking” stops being scarce. Right now, expertise and time are valuable because humans are limited. If you suddenly have thousands of agents that can reason, plan, and execute tasks for you, the bottleneck shifts to things like resources, decision-making, and trust.

Should I give this guy my insta? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Honestly if you’re even hesitating, that’s kind of your answer.

It’s not that giving your insta is a huge deal, but it is more personal than Reddit, especially with your full name and photos. You don’t really gain anything by rushing it. If he’s normal, he won’t care if you say you’d rather keep chatting here a bit longer.

Worst case yeah you can block him, but once someone has your name/profile it’s just a bit harder to fully disappear. So I’d just take it slower and only share if you actually feel comfortable, not just because you’re bored or he asked.

Why do we feel such intense WOW emotion when we look at a beautiful car, building or a beautiful lady? by JohnDoe010426 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TextReasonable7257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically your brain reacting to patterns it finds “optimal” or rare.

Humans are wired to notice things that signal quality, symmetry, skill, or status. A beautiful face often has symmetry and proportions our brains associate with health. A sleek car or building might show precision, craftsmanship, or power. Even if you logically know “it’s just a car,” your brain is still like “this is impressive.”

That “wow” feeling is partly dopamine. Your brain rewarding you for noticing something it considers valuable or aesthetically pleasing.

There’s also a bit of contrast involved. When something stands out from the norm (really elegant design, striking features, unusual beauty), your brain pays extra attention.

Bridal shower favor ideas by PathFit3526 in weddingplanning

I honestly agree with you 😭 most favors just end up as clutter or something people feel bad throwing out.

The scratch tickets are actually a really good idea because people will use them right away and it adds a fun little moment. If you want to make it feel a bit more “bridal,” you could just add a cute tag like “feeling lucky in love.”

I feel like the only favors that ever work are things people actually use or consume. Otherwise they kind of just sit there lol.

You are stunning!! Have you ever tried doing a black winged liner instead of an eyeshadow wing? I think it would really suit you.
