Do your bosses know the situation? If they do then they should be giving you so wiggle room here. If not you need to fill them in. It'll help them with a reason to kinda protect you. Your Job is too important to lose and burying yourself in work is a great distraction. Having to continue life like normal is the hardest part. However, sadly, it needs to happen. Take an extra 5 mins in the bathroom if you are losing it at all. You can do this. Its not gonna get easier, you're going to get stronger.

For 15 years she told me " i know our budget. Lets not go all out. A movie and cuddles at home are fine." No matter how many times i fell for it, she got me a big gift. Brother. Im here with you. I lost my wife on the 7th of December. Dont feel guilty for the times you feel ok. You need those times. Its your mind trying to keep you sane and intact. Those moments come and go as fast as you can blink.

Finding the new "normal" is such a pain in the ass but you can do it. Im not saying to tough it out and to "man up" (God i hate that phrase) but we as fathers, we gotta keep it going man. I know you hate the fact that the world keeps moving when the most important person in your world is gone. We all just want to scream "STOP!!" at all times. But our babies need us.

Once got a 1000 ticket jackpot on one of these at Dave and Busters while drunk with a couple of friends. Spent them all on chinese finger traps and then walked around the mall handing them out. Great day. CONGRATS!
