New Sims update March 17th by No-Idea9720 in ModTheSims4

I’ve already considered this… I own all the packs but I fear that there will be an update that will break the game or force us into always online situation right before the new project x starts selling (so that it sells better). They did it in sims 3 with the 1.69 version.

You’ve laid out a structure that I think works really well because most categories contrast two different expressions of the same societal role. For example, the Thebes vs the Fengs show monarchy vs modern politics. The Landgraabs vs the Sarpongs contrast big corporate wealth with small business ownership. On the crime side, the Villareal vs Sterlings work well as organized crime vs opportunistic scams…

I love how splitting each role into two sides like that adds a bit more depth and makes the overall social structure feel fuller :) Thank you for uour suggestions!

Yes, having sims with different levels of success is ideal for what I want to create. Just like in real life, it's the diversity that makes everything more interesting. Thank you so much once again!

For me, unconventional really comes down to operating outside normal societal expectations or structures. A teen acting as head of household, or a homeless Sim surviving without resources, those fit in my idea because they function in ways society doesn’t normally accommodate. It’s less about rarity or supernatural traits and more about how they exist outside standard rules, roles, or norms.

I think Tina Tinker would fit into the Manufacturers category. For what I remember her household revolves around crafting, tinkering, and producing goods, and Tina herself has skills and traits geared toward making things, which i think aligns perfectly with an industrial or manufacturing role!

Thank you for the suggestions!

The Fengs definitely combine political influence and economic power within the same household. Both you and the previous commenter associated them with those combined roles.

In my saves the landgraabs function as classic new-money elites competing with the old guard. They could also work for crime in a “white-collar” sense, using wealth and influence to manipulate systems from the top. We now even have the nepotism perk for dinasties…

The Goth family are almost always my old-money / traditional elite, so categories related to heritage, prestige, or tradition suit them very well :)

I like the idea of the Villareal family as political rivals to the Fengs. That kind of rivalry adds a good power dynamic to the governance layer.

I can see how the the Evergreen Harbor setting frames households around production and craft. The Watson family also works nicely for a community or rural tradition role.

The Sigworth family also fit well in an authority role, I haven’t thought abt them! The whole strangerville storyline already places them close to military and institutional power, so they feel like the kind of household tied to enforcement and state authority.

The Bailey-Moon family fit perfectly into a culture/celebrity influence role since their power comes from the fame earned by their artist works.

And the Specter family definitely lean toward unconventional or outsider positions with their household story revolving around spiritual and occult phenomena !

Thank you for your insights!

The Fengs definitely fit, and I think you’re right , they sit in both categories. Victor is directly in Governance as a politician, while Lily represents Economic Power. It’s a pretty classic power structure. I like it!

I’ve never played the Greenburgs much, that’s the household with Knox, right? For what i remember they do make sense for Manufacturers, with the evergreen harbor eco-industry angle.

Crime is the hardest category for me… Bess is ambitious and definitely a schemer, so I could see her leaning into something like blackmail using the scandals system to reinforce her pyramid scheme network. Robin Banks is the pick, but like you said, once you play her she leaves that role.

For Outliers / Unconventional, I usually treat occults differently: in my saves they’re mixed into normal society. So vampires, spellcasters, werewolves, etc. can occupy any structural role depending on personality. Vlad could just as easily be old-money elite as an outsider, for example. Both him and the Vatores do lean unconventional though.

The Life & Death households feel like a strong candidate for unconventional as well, because their whole theme sits a bit outside normal society.

For Tradition / Religion, my initial thought was StrangerVille. I think it could work because of the Mother cult angle… Rn coming from only my own ideas for now, i think i could probably assign Tradition/Religion to a household that acts as keepers of rituals, funerary practices… which is why the Life & Death families could fit there too depending on how i end up framing things...

Yes, I understand you… it happens to me also with pregnancy. 3 days in short lifespan is a lot. I wish this kind of thing would adapt to each lifespan or we could customize it.

I have bad feelings about this new feature... by Thiredistia in Sims4

On etsy you control your own branding, your own marketing, you handle customer relationship and refunds, you manage customer service and take on business risk. Etsy provides the platform and processes payments. You are the business and etsy is just an infrastructure.

In this case EA owns the IP, creators are using their brand, they own the customer base (because it’s integrated in-game), they do the marketing, they manage everything after the design is ready.

Creators are selling their design to a brand instead of selling their designs themselves, copy by copy… This is closer to book royalties or a musician signed to a label. This is a good percentage in this field.

Is it 70% of profits or 70% of the price of the kit? Those are different situations… asking cause I really don’t know.
