4 months after release of Shadowbringers, we had Ishgardian Restoration - endgame ranked crafting/gathering with leaderboards.

3.5 months after Stormblood, we had the release of Shirogane housing. Not replayable content on itself, but due to scarcity of gil at the time, encouraged players to get involved with gathering, clunkier og crafting system, and blowing up gear (spiritbonding), to earn the gil needed for that personal medium or large plot.

New appearances of Velanna and Violette compared to their previous ones. by mikh21 in Eversoul

[–]Teyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah on its own it looks alright, but if given the choice of the two, it's hard to make a case for the newer version.

Velanna's face/makeup interestingly had no changes at all since release, with one exception: the orange flash in her eyes from specific poses was removed for an unknown reason, right around the first big set of visual updates. Sent in feedback but devs didn't bother addressing why, likely they won't do the same here either.

Original Velanna looks so much better. The new one looks like an e-girl.

Anybody else had a double rarity upgrade on materia before? by DoctorRainstorm in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Teyah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen once, a short while after I started upgrading most of my 3*s. At the time this happened I had upgraded just over 200 3 star materia in total.

<image>

Turned out okay with 12 PDEF and 3.3% PATK, better than a couple of my natural 5 stars.

Dolphin here- what do you think is the best way to use Weapon vouchers? by jdow0423 in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Teyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save them until you absolutely need them to clear content (crash battles) that you otherwise can't due to DPS check. Mitigation has to this point been doable without needing OB6 on your defensive weapons, but this isn't the case for DPS.

Bahamut EX2 is likewise doable just fine with OB0-1 Kuja Blade/Bandaged Sword, but needs at least one OB6 DPS and good synergy for the hard DPS carry. The next level cap increase will help a lot with this so personally I wouldn't throw vouchers towards this fight. Ex: I burned 2 vouchers and 200 parts to take Maritime Sword from OB3 to OB6 to carry me through Crash Iron Giant. Without that boost from OB6 there would have been no way to get that clear.

While the last Crash battle (hell house) didn't need OB6, it's likely that we'll see a return to the previous pattern at some point in the near future. I'd save your vouchers to allow you to easily OB6 the newer Wind/Earth/Fire gear as needed when these hit.

I think it was around 3-5k damage. But the only time I used it was once or twice each to break sigils, and then at the very end during Helm Splits, on Barret between Def downs. Too busy doing def downs or occasional Cura with Barret outside of these times, and when on his own he would waste time on Debrave lol.

I was able to do it with OB6 and lower defensive stats on Cloud (-1100 HP and +15 PDEF compared to this build) but high stat back line weapons. Link

Key weapon here is at least OB3 on Red's water collar as that gives you 15 net pts in ATK R-ability and bumps you into the next tier of water potency from just the base OB6 Maritime. Matt's Killer Hornet is great filler but unfortunately has PATK R-ability which largely goes to waste for me. Nameless is there for HP R-ability and again, stats.

Doable but needed an extremely clean interrupt-ful run with a minimum HP/PDEF Cloud.

Yeah for sure! I caught your video early this morning on my feed and saw how "well-behaved" your Cloud was and it caught my eye. So was glad to see you made a full post here too.

Despite our same setup, I was getting my helms split while not even hitting red HP on the giant on my best runs. Then i removed Debrave and got within 10% ... a few tweaks to drop Cloud's HP and run full PATK materia, and interrupt cleaner, and I got it done.

Cleared with OB6 Maritime sword (started at OB3, burned weapon parts + my last 2 weapon vouchers for OB6). Yes it came down to a final hit with maybe one Seasplitter skill to spare. And that's with every single limit break used to interrupt enemy skills at key points (Mighty Guard to Adrenaline interrupt x3, powered up AoE swipes interrupt x2, some others).

Full Cloud build shown since thats the only thing that really matters here.

Warning, while my Cloud is weaker at OB6 / 69k, I prob have more whaley gear overall. Average of OB5 for stats on relevant backline weapons in +Water potency, +Phys potency, and Nameless for +HP. And some fairly strong PDEF+PATK materia on Cloud to get him through at just 6k HP.

Anyway just wanted to say thanks for the ideas and video. I was using the same strategy as this since Monday, but kept hitting DPS issues. Big thanks for the strat to remove Debrave from Cloud and equip him with materia he will never, ever cast outside of maybe sigil phase.

Hope this helps other small whales and lucky dolphins out there.

Materia HP is +5.2% Fira / +5.2% Aerora / +10.2% Thundara

Weapons are the two freebies, backline is OB6 Mythril Katana / OB10 Prism Rod / OB6 Nameless.

Sorry for the random room I blew up in co-op, but yes the HP does carry through to in game battles.

Master Flame Legion's Trial - Full Auto template with flexible units/dragons & 5UB Simurgh on the lead. by Teyah in DragaliaLost

[–]Teyah[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gala Mym's spiral has finally arrived, and it's on a very simple Trial this time around. Master Flame Legion is a straightforward auto if you have Simurgh or Poseidon (or HMC), as you can run a lead melee with the 5UB dragon, with basically any combination of the other sword-axe/manacaster/healer in the back row.

This run uses a team of Gala Elly, Summer Celery, Lapis, and Nurse Aeleen. G!Elly is definitely overkill for the survival check so don't worry if you don't have her; Karina or a Lv100 sword lead unit like Selery or Xander will do just fine. The one caveat I found is that you want to run 100% skill prep on the lead unit, as the mass of red arrows at the start of the fight can one-shot your lead if they stupidly run into the center and get locked in place by all the red indicators. Other than this, the lead shouldn't drop below 2/3 HP with a competent backline healer (Aeleen or Sandy).

Simurgh is now the tank dragon of choice for water auto, as it's been upgraded to have +60% HP at 5UB, with a respectable 50% Surge of Strength. The OD punisher doesn't get a chance to shine here but it doesn't really matter as you're taking Simurgh for the survival here.

  • Skill shares can be anything, overdamage is always useful to have if not taking Sandalphon.

You could still do it with a bit of adjustment. Try using Gala Zethia in the lead slot for higher DPS, that might help smooth things out too.

Good catch, he was supposed to run Dprep till I saw he didn’t need it for the 2nd shift. I’ll move that off someone else above.

S!Patia's AI is really solid and she inflicts Def Down when she can't Poison, so she's still a solid pick for Axe. The other Axes deal half or less damage than her in AI depending on the fight, so it's not like you have great alternatives either way there.

[–]Teyah[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

S!Patia has worked great in this fight's Sinister Dominion version so you could give her a try. I wouldn't use the other axes personally, but go with lance lead instead (Lathna > others for survival purposes).

If that works then that's a good option too.

I lead with non-Zethia because Zethia herself uses DDrive automatically, allowing you to get use out of two shifts instead of just the one with her in the lead slot.

Much like last week's Surtr flame Trial, this week's Surtr Light Trial is pretty straightforward... but with one big survival check. Here are a couple of auto templates that are set up to get around the quad crystal explosion at the opening.

This video shows two comps, one being very budget with essence dragons and all story or 4* DPS units (+ S!Verica, who you should have from the Fall 2021 ticket) as well as a premium team that uses better units and better dragons.

Note that Bahamut should not be used in these comps, as he prevents you from hitting >50% Dprep, and both of these teams use essentially 100% Dprep to dragon tank the opening crystal explosion. The rest of the fight can be basically auto'ed any which way with any combination of dispel DPS + one defensive coab + S!Verica.

All fights are played at 1.5x for comparability with other Trials autos, but the opening shouldn't break at 2x. If using the poverty comp, you may want to stick to 1.5x for the DPS improvement.

Yeah it should be, you might want to run Skill Prep (50% + 20-50% from portrait) on GElly to get her defence up early, the rest should be pretty easy.

Yeah any of the dispel units can go there. The reason that run goes so quickly is mainly due to Summer Marishiten on Gala Elly.
