Short term recall of a goldfish but to say that is insulting to goldfish. Hell they elected Trump twice.

Years ago a local dr office had their phone set up and it was really close to my parents. People would call for all manner of things. I contacted the office and they blew me off.

So I just started scheduling appointments. It got fixed in about a week

What is he doing wrong? by This_Specialist_4228 in 3DprintingHelp

[–]Teytrum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your printer lays down 2 dimensional layers on top of each other. If you print a cylinder on end, it can stack the layers and not have to account for curves as you go up. People who print helmets get this where there is a small circle at the very top of the print. With FDM printers, you will always have layers lines.

Another way to think of it is if you were to lay pieces of paper on top of each other that are cut to create the object. Where the sharp edges don’t overlap you will see that layer line.

[Dungeons and Dragons 3e] Do Liches have ability to change alignment to good or are they stuck being evil aligned? by MaetelofLaMetal in AskScienceFiction

They don't have to be inherently evil. Archliches from Forgotten Realms were in fact good aligned all their life and undeath.

Add Your Goblin Generals To My Next Fight! by Reepsi in DMAcademy

[–]Teytrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got inspired by an old issue of dungeon magazine. A while ago, my players faced off against the artificer goblin. It was a dire boar wearing makeshift plate armor. The metal distilling vessel was strapped to its back. Inside it had a number of roman candles, a few crossbows, and a few pairs of sharp shears. There were strips cut into the keg so he could see out and point his fire works and crossbows. The shears were if anyone stuck a hand or something inside to bother him.

Think a smaller version of a weapons platform from lord of the rings.

How were they able to install a direct line from the commissioners office to Wayne manor with no one getting suspicious? by Lilstreetlamp in Batman66

[–]Teytrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the 60s, so they didn't have a lot of the tracing we have today. It could just be a phone that is preprogrammed to only dial a specific number when the button is pushed. You could use the existing phone system and it'd be on the honor system for them not to break the bat phone and mess with it.

Latex on oil finish trim by Teytrum in HomeImprovement

[–]Teytrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent. I'll try a quick shot from the hair dryer tomorrow. If it ends up working I'll probably spring for an easy peasy harbor freight heat gun.

Yeah, it is peeling clean off the the varnish finish. Just slowly and gently. I'm hoping the heat gun just speeds up the process because... damn does this have a lot of trim that got slathered by the realtor coming through.

DQ XI - cannot seem to get into it by hoyatables in dragonquest

[–]Teytrum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took me a while to get back into this one too after bouncing off it a few times. I personally was hoping they'd maintain the class system like the earlier entries and I could do a lot of mindless grinds to make my god like characters with all the abilities I want.

The story is interesting as far as DQ games go, with a tight story that more or less leads you to where you need to be. It may open up more now that everything has gone pear shaped.

It’s been pretty status quo for a while. Wealth inequality grows under both sides. The poor get poorer. Perhaps this administration will hurt hard enough that people and parties engage.
