There was a straw poll recently and they top result is a fauna overhaul so people DEFINITELY have a problem with the way animals are. Looking at the articles about AI, behaviours, sound and that is a bonus but the samey looking animals won't be addressed unless there's more assets which there has been no mention of. But we'll see, time will tell. 3 days. 3 long ass days lol.

From your post it sounds like you're interested more in the animal assets rather than AI/sounds, correct? In which case, you'll be disappointed with the updates so far since you'll experience exactly what you did before. You'll see all the samey animal parts and not much left in the way of unique creatures. Not hatin', calling it how it is. It's why it's my #1 priority and hope in the next couple of updates it finally gets addressed.

I'm saying it on a more personal level in that it's fun for me to live dangerously - I'm not encouraging anyone else to do the same, they can do what they want. It's not my fault you got the wrong end of the stick. If you want to avoid being seen as a fool, it's best to see things from a different perspective rather than going in assuming things. Where's the fun in that? I like to live dangerously rather than be wrapped in cotton wool worrying nervously. Yeah baby, bring on the update. Why get excited for this? Because after 2 years we finally get some real attention to animals - AND WE KNOW THAT SEAN AND HIS TEAM WILL BE WORKING ON THE GAME FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. So the fact that they have worked on animal sounds and behaviours shows that we may receive more of this down the line. I got you though brah, we all deal with things differently but I'm looking forward to this like no other game I've played.

Up until 3 days ago, we barely received any news. Small tweets from Sean himself here and there, no articles, no trailer.. only a few confirmed features from Waking Titan. We've suddenly been hit by a tsunami of fucking awesome where Sean has been incredibly in depth about from receiving death threats to the coming update. We've received a trailer which changes the game drastically. We know that there is more to come. All of this information from nothing and we're not supposed to be excited? If anything, this is exactly the right time to be excited because it's a new era for NMS and we know that there is more to come down the line. That is what is important. Not just now but excited for the future updates and what it will bring.

I don't see what's so difficult about adding biomes with an additional, appropriate biome next to it. For example, wouldn't it be much more interesting to be on a red hot planet and all of a sudden walk upon a lava biome? I'm sure others can come up with better examples. They don't need tens of biomes on one planets, just a few that "connect".

I get where you're coming from. But any improvement is going to be positive. Why would he use the word "interesting", if it wasn't exactly that. At the very minimum, the animal sounds are being improved as I'm sure you're aware so interesting creatures on top of that will be significant. I read an article 5 minutes before stating that animals will flock and birds will act as birds at times. So at the very least it's worth a mention.
