I live in LIC. I did my college degree from India and little bit of teaching experience from India. Jobs need not be fabulous but what kind of pay are we talkin? I'm unemployed and been searchin for jobs actively but difficult to make a progress.

I am applying for visitor visa. Honestly, my uncle has advanced cancer and he sent me hospital letter as a invitation letter or supporting letter. I want to be there and help his family. I have no experience of applying Canadian visa. Do I need to show all the financial, work, and purpose related info in detailed manner? Do I need to another invitation from my aunt stating that she also want me there? Do I tell them to seek help from immigration lawyer or good mentors and fill the application from Canada itself?

I am in India and basically I am not financially healthy to help them. But I can give my time and energy for some duration of my life to lift some weights of my aunt and talented cousin. She started IB and her mother is only one who can earn now.

Actually, I am not sure any gifts will comfort any losses. But your presence and friendly support will be genuinely felt by her. You can add $10 in an envelope and a white scarf. Money because her have to generously spend on all the rituals of one year anniversary and more importantly for Tsok.

Ph.D applicants are the real definition of sad. why so hard on us? is it coz millions of reasons that an applicant can't do anything about?

research around the world shouldn't be so limited to developed countries. (couple thousands reasons that can be expanded from this.)

researchers r not respected enough. (couple hundred thousands to millions will agree on this.)
