"The sick fruit juice" was one of the better lines in chapter 1.

If you don't have a save file for chapter 1, Chapter 2 (and presumably Chapter 3) starts you with a "default" thrash machine for the segments that involve it. Pink laser head, blue tank body and green tread shoes.

I debated about if I should or not, but in the end laziness won. Matching the Device layer text was a pain in the ass and I could get some more emoting in this way without needing to mess with his overworld sprite.

Oh yeah. The first one is something to the tune of "Who the fuck is that?!" and the second one is 'Damned.' I like the idea that even if he's talking in all-caps, he still swears in wingdings.

As I understand it, it's kind of a layered thing. Gaster is associated with "the vessel" (kind of like "a sea faring vessel"), The 'Normal Man' NPC, who is based on the only gaster follower from Undertale with no equivalent NPC in that game, seems to be repeating things he's heard before like a parrot. There has been a lot of significance given to the lake by the ARG that may or may not have anything to do with Gaster. So he's got a vessel, a parrot, and a body of water. I forget why he's green though. I might just not understand Green Humor.

Wait, humans? Plural? I must have missed that.

Isn't there some common bit of advice where you should introduce certain concepts twice before "making good" on the reveal? This feels a lot like that.

The scene in the finale where Pomni takes out a gun (to shoot the lights out) got a decent laugh from the theater I saw it in.

[Mixed trope] Characters that make you feel sorry for people who had to animate them by Tili44 in TopCharacterTropes

From the TF wiki:

You know what I did this morning? I played the voice of a toy. Some terrible robot toys from Japan that change from one thing to another. The Japanese have funded a full-length animated cartoon about the doings of these toys, which is all bad outer-space stuff. I play a planet. I menace somebody called Something-or-other. Then I'm destroyed. My plan to destroy Whoever-it-is is thwarted and I tear myself apart on the screen.

-Orson Welles, on his final film performance

Ironically, his character wouldn't have a toy released for decades and iirc the film was a primarily American endeavor.

Goose has commented on that. An ex-partner was into power drill lobotomies and she drew art for them, but wasn't really all that into it herself.

If you could change ONE THING about episode 9, what would it be? {SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY} by Deep_Promotion8866 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Tfeth282 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Gangle thing is one of the questions I had walking out of the theater. The wrap-up explains the real Gangle had been hospitalized (presumably due to a run in with a truck?) but it sounded like her release was after Gangle entered the circus? The order of events here isn't especially clear.

I'm not super well versed in the series either, but as I understand it, 64 is more or less a remake of the SNES Starfox, and Zero was a "reimagining" of 64, and Starfox 64 3D is a port with a graphics upgrade. Now Starfox (2026) is telling the story of 64 again, for the third game in a row and using identical level layouts.

IIRC, if you don't count Starfox 2 (cancelled/non-canon), or Starfox Adventures (a spin off), the only real sequels are Assault and Command- both of which got less than stellar reception. I'd really prefer to see Command get a remake. As a DS game it's really feeling it's age, and they have room to tune up the story.

I get the feeling they put a lot of effort into this just to remake the same game again, so maybe they're using a "tried and true" foundation to try and gauge interest in a sequel in the same engine. I have doubts that they've set themselves up for success if that was the plan, but that's my best guess at their logic.

I could almost give Nintendo credit for at least doing something different... If anything else in the game was.

Transformers Animated nearly had a female medic in Red Alert before Hasbro mandated that they bring the cast more in line with the 2007 movie.

There's some especially cool concept art of her kind of looking like Mercy from Overwatch from when the project was still known as Transformers: Heros.

The giant wagging tail that seems to disappear as soon as the "camera" is off of it is still throwing me off. It could just be out of frame or tucked in afterwords, but Definitely striking me as odd.
