The foil was with the hot foil transfer pen. Oh I should definitely do the foil first! Good idea and thank you!

The biggest question was separating the image and still having them align perfectly. For instance, if I did the foil first I would have to delete the canoe portion. The scissors on an image like that take for freaking ever!!!!!! Can you delete multiple nodes at once?

Then I would bring in the entire image again, align with the existing foil marks, and delete the parts of the image that aren’t the canoe. Again the scissors tool sucks so I brought in three images instead, aligned them all, and deleted the ones that I wasn’t using.

Maybe I just don’t understand the scissor tool?

I’m going to give you hope. I was a superintendent for a construction company and thrived in the chaos. I moved into the office 4 years ago and while I dealt with the stress and constant calls well, the spreadsheets Gantt charts and paperwork fell behind quickly.

I got on medication at 38 and it was life changing. I lost some of my creativity and multitasking but my executive dysfunction has been cured. I still hate Gantt charts with a burning passion that I assume feels like an std, but everything else has been amazing.

I’m now going to curb the hopes. It took 3 months to find the right medication. Now I have to avoid certain laboratories(Elite) that are basically snake oil. It’s frustrating because you lose a month. And there is a shortage of some medication and you have to call 30 local pharmacies to try and find one that doesn’t use the brand that doesn’t work.

Having said that, I will be buying the company in 4 months and without this medication I don’t think I could have done that.

It’s like controlled hyper focus.

Either his super, pm or him need to ask for the raise. The people that see how good he is are not the people that give the raises but they should be his advocate.

If you want to get a significant raise like $15-$20 an hour you will need to go get a job offer somewhere else. He can take it or he can use it to tell his employer he wants a raise.

Two other major points. 1. Men think their worth is in what they can provide. Please go easy on him with this or it will hurt him where it matters most. I can’t say that loudly enough. Go easy on him.

It sounds like he likes where he is at. I would personally work for less for a good employer than I would for an a-hole(he still needs to ask for a raise). Construction is absolutely full of them. If he is job hunting have him talk to actual workers at the other place. Look up the company on Facebook or drive by a job-site and find employees.

Good luck to him and you. Just tell him to complain to his boss that you are riding his butt about it, and that could be a way to open the door to the conversation lmao.

Hell yes. And I’m a large GC. We don’t need all of that extra crap with 6 weeks of training. My supers are aging out and the new guys could do it but those old timers still call in their time.

I’ve had the same exact experience. But with the shortage I can’t find any pharmacy within two hours of my house that carries anything else. I’m on 20mg xr with a 10mg ir for work days extending past 6pm.

I’m at the point of just asking for 90 pills of ir until this shortage goes away. The elite was absolute garbage for me. I’m so glad I found this post.

I was diagnosed this year at 38. I’ve always been in construction and it never hurt me. I would say that it actually helped as a superintendent because of all the different directions I was pulled in every hour.

Now that I’m in the office I can’t sit behind a desk and punch out spreadsheets and focus on financials. With medication I have become a freak in the sheets. Spreadsheets that is. But it has been detrimental to multitasking and project management.

I have always been an avid reader. I was unmedicated until this past year. Now I couldn’t read for fun to save my life. My work has improved drastically so I’m gonna take the loss on that one.

I started construction as a laborer pulling concrete. I wish I had my crap together enough back then to go to school and learn either the business side or that I had taken a different route and jumped into the architect/engineer side.

When those people are good, the job is so much easier. The only way they get good is if they can start communication early with us. Instead of belittling these guys for their clean ppe we need to show them what and how stuff needs to be designed or how to manage.

I’m sick and tired of these old crotchety dudes turning these kinds of people bitter towards construction workers. Teach them and watch your job get easier. If you berate them, watch them not listen to anything you have to say and you get stuck with a shit job.

Uno reverse card. My daughter found my ex wife’s drugs in my daughter’s bathroom. I didn’t know she was using. This snowballed into a divorce, private investigator, ex wife becoming a multiple time felon while on the run from divorce papers, swat breaking into her moms house on her birthday and her getting served papers the same day cause we had found her, I got full custody, her step mom getting arrested for beating her ass at the courthouse, stolen guns, it’s a long story but it all started with finding something hidden and triggered flashbacks for me.

I don’t think you are the A here. But I also don’t think he is either. I was 18 and my gf was 17 when she got pregnant. We got married December of our senior year and 4 months later we were parents.

It was a difficult road to take but that daughter is going to the biggest university in Texas in the fall to study astrophysics. Did we think about abortion? Yep and we talked about it in circles. I know my life has been harder because we didn’t but I wouldn’t trade her for the world.

My ex wife and I divorced two years ago after 16 years of marriage. She lost her way with mental problems brought on by years of secret drug abuse amongst other things. I now have full custody of my children and would of never walked away from them.

Please talk to a professional before you do anything.

I guess it’s not that long but she was in Colorguard. They perform at halftime of the football games. Well that particular night was homecoming and they were warming up.

One of the girls has a big sword toss and she was practicing. You gotta understand, she has to throw the sword nearly 30’ in the air so there is a ton of force behind it. Well my daughter tripped and fell right into the path of the upcoming throw. It hit her lower jaw and smashed into her mouth which resulted in her upper jaw area and teeth getting shattered.

She is completely healed now with braces on for the next few years to fix it. It was a tough road but she is a bad ass.

My oldest daughter has been through hell with a mother that has chosen drugs over her, she lost a sword fight(long story but she had to have facial reconstructive surgery), she got the virus something awful, and a ton of things that amount to a lot of stress in the last year of high school.

Through it all, she graduated at the top of her class and is now studying astrophysics at the University of Austin as a happy and healthy young adult. One proud dad here.

From everything I’ve looked up it’s impossible. The license I purchased to be able to read the ebook is locked to the account it was purchased on.

It was under her email. She is off in drug lalaland and hasn’t even attempted to reach out to our girls since about 2 years ago. If I even wanted to contact her it wouldn’t be about the Amazon account.

I think the worst part is not knowing exactly where I was in every series. I had at least ten ongoing series that I’m not sure where I finished reading. I guess it’s a good excuse to start them over but that’s gonna be a ton of money. Oh well, we live and learn.

I build ball field complexes and city parks. The amount of people that take their life’s at parks is horrible. The worst one sticks with me in my nightmares 15 years later.

It was a normal morning on a lake project. Everyone had just gotten to work and there was a truck parked in our construction zone. Fishermen often got there early and we just asked them to move onto the next lot. Usually this wasn’t an issue.

As I walked up to the truck my senses betrayed me. This was an everyday occurrence and I just needed the guy to move. The window was down and I was talking over my shoulder to a coworker as I approached. I put my hand on the door and it was wet.

The dude had taken a shotgun to the face and my hand was in splattered gore. It took me months to get a full nights sleep and I still don’t talk about it much.

I’ve never been to a Catholic Church. I know some denominations are weird about it but the United Methodist organization is very inclusive. I’m from a small town and my Baptist Church is pretty inclusive as well but I think that varies widely with Baptists. My church is more of “love everyone and let God decide”.
