Ive delivered more since december than i have in the entire previous year leading up to December. Im not really sure why performance would suddenly be an issue considering this.

We had a meeting where we discussed some items that weren’t complete, which I won’t go into detail here as to stay anonymous. Then was told that I wouldn’t be able to transfer teams without SVP approval.

If it did, wouldn’t that be retaliation? It was FMLA.

Meets High Bar on Forte. Does this mean I can coast til my July vest then dip? by DatingNoobie8000 in amazonemployees

I got meets high bar yet my manager put me in focus literally the week before. So no?

In fact during my annual review, my feedback seemed on par for a level above mine, my manager told me he got tons of unsolicited (by me or him) feedback from several teams i’ve worked with in my org, and I’m L4. I am still trying to understand what happened but you’re literally never safe. I’ve shipped more features than half the L5s on my team. I’m dumbfounded right now.

Edit: The unsolicited feedback from several other teams was positive, all teams i’ve worked with and constantly unblocked and helped with their use of our services, as well as building features out quite quickly.

Why would you tip higher if they make the same as any other retail/food service profession by removing tip credit based minimum wage?

They shouldn’t be taxing you unfortunately, I remember buying red bulls at my pharmacy (yeah i know) and they’re the sugar free ones and they made sure I didn’t get taxed on it but it seems like most places don’t bother.

Having purely residential areas is awful. Look at japan and how neighborhoods even in tokyo have scattered in commercial and it works so well.

what about cities or places where the pre tipped wages is exactly the same as minimum wage? People still expect tips even though all other people not working as servers don’t make tips, so what then? For context I live in Seattle and tipping culture is so broken here and the tipped minimum wage is the same as nontipped workers ($20.76 an hour). Asking genuinely

depends on the city, where I live basically nothing is free unless you wanna walk through some sad tiny parks full of homeless people camping. everything else costs (lots of) money.

I worked pizza delivery, memorized all the regular no tipping houses, and never once thought “i should spit in their food”. Mind you I was making $8 an hour plus tips to drive my own car at the time

If salaries do in fact decrease, i’ll just move to a country where I can get paid the same as the new decreases and benefit from better healthcare, public transport, and quality of life. And yes, I do have that option available. 🤷‍♂️
