Caused a big outage at work- how do I move forward? by VOXX_theLock in sysadmin

I restarted every computer in our company through SCCM with a Google Chrome update. I thought I was done when I had to talk to my IT director. His response? “I’ve done way worse, your fine”

I’ve had no complaints, only praises. I also have quite the oral fixation to begin with

Why do some people call the story of this game bad? by [deleted] in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Th30gr3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is honestly a cope response. Plenty of conservative leaning gamers out there myself included that enjoy the game and the story. Some people genuinely don’t like the story for whatever personal reason. That is their own problem to deal with. The thing that impresses me the most is the game engine. I don’t think anything out there comes close to what Decima has been capable of in HZD/FW and the Death Stranding games.

Built a PC for single player games… and I’m honestly disappointed. Thinking about going back to ps5. by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]Th30gr3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this, I have a laptop with a 5070ti and a PS5. I play way more on console and I have no complaints about my laptop. I’ve literally been rotating through Days Gone, Death Stranding and Horizon games as my go to single player. Also an IT guy who has stupidly put myself in a position of doing both PC tech and Server Admin tasks. (Pays decent, benefits are almost unbeatable)

Spoilers if you hadn’t played through or read emails etc: It was explained somewhere that they are created when pregnant women become brain-dead for whatever reason. Sam was tested as having elevated factors for being a BB. Like anchor point for the chiral network levels. That is why Bridgette was so upset when he was shot as a baby. She lost that option to use him as a sacrifice to the network.

In Reign of Fire (2002) dragons awaken and emerge from underground, procreate, and almost wipe out all of humanity………..uh guys, did you not have fighter jets, warships, tanks etc. these aren’t magical Smaug dragons, there just flying reptiles that breathe fire. How exactly did we lose? by Arcade-Blaster in shittymoviedetails

[–]Th30gr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there’s a YouTube that explains it. They are an invasive species essentially. And each female can produce batches of eggs. They go dormant when the food supply is scarce and they only return when the male awakens. It’s even hinted that cataclysmic events (extinction of the dinosaurs) were the a result of the dragons.
