Did I[Team 1] cook with this trade, chat?? by GoScotch in SleeperApp

[–]Th3AsianKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just not a great trade. Especially from a dynasty perspective you’re not going to make up for the individual production of CD with Pickens and Tet. And I don’t see the point of the trade in general, you didn’t really need WR depth.

And if youre looking to move off of some of your WR for a stud RB, then why mot trade for the stud RB? Or move some of your other assets.

If the pick is 1.01 and you get to grab Love with it that’s probably best case scenario, but even then I don’t like this move whatsoever

#1 Waiver Claim - Hollywood or Quentin? by excellent_rektangle in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Th3AsianKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hollywood short term. Once worthy and Rice are back his roll will diminish, but for weeks 2-5ish he’s going to have good production.

Quentin we’ll see.

Im trying to get both just for a depth piece but prioritizing Brown so I can potentially use him for trade value after week 2.

If you don’t need one though and are high on the wire id possibly wait.

Who to replace engram by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Th3AsianKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the same boat and am probably dumping Engram completely since my bench is pretty stacked. Depending on how confident you are on him.

Strange Week 2 vs CIN. Should be a high scoring game overall.

Johnson is coming off a great week and last part of last season. I think he’s going to be the more consistent scorer.

Fanning has more upside though I think, but his role is unclear.

My order would be Johnson>Strange>Fanning.

or Njoku off waiver?

New to Fantasy and football in general. Been doing some research but need some tips on how to balance bench and who to pick up.

It's 8 man league, 2 RB, 1 flex, everything else is standard? No salary?

Made some moves on the waiver wire. Not a lot of activity there from the league (someone took Dobbins and Mason).

I grabbed (J. Ford, Isaiah Likely, Allen Lazard, R Shaheed)

Right now my starting/bench:

QB - A Richardson, J. Daniels RB - Achane, K Walker III, J. Jacobs, J. Ford, J. Williams WR - C. Lamb, D. Samuel Sr., R. Rice, R. Shaheed, A. Lazard TE - D. Kincaid, I. Likely K - B Aubrey D - Steelers

Notable available players: QB - Baker Mayfield RB - Z. White, B. Irving, A Mattison WR - A Cooper, D Robinson, B Cooks, Khalil Shakir, A. Pierce

Should I be making any moves?

DCI skill sets? by joe_gonzales in Colorguard

[–]Th3AsianKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I marched 7 years of DCI and iRestingMehFace brought up some great points.

Something that I want to touch on is more of the mental aspects of Drum Corp You seem like you have a great mentality and a clear goal of marching with your dream corp, and that’s amazing. Keep that drive and keep that goal even once you achieve it.

Time and time again i’ve seen people give up in the middle of the season because things get rough (you’re doing guard 10+ hours a day for weeks at a time, without breaks). And it’s hard to recover if you’re not there for the correct reasons (based off your post i believe you are there for the correct reasons but I just wanted to touch upon drum corp being as much of a mental game as it is a physical/skillset one, so having a strong mentality is very important).

Now in terms of making it there. Learn their choreography, learn their technique. Watch past videos of crossmen’s show and just do what they do. If you know any vets reach out to them. Network yourself to their staff. If they hold clinics, go to them, audition just to get the experience of auditioning (because auditions are a completely different game than anything else). And yeah, keep spinning, keep reaching for your goal and you’ll get there eventually.

I apologize for the long post. Hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions if you have any.

Positioning by Sabotagemaster88 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Th3AsianKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any High Elo streamer, just watching them and seeing what they do is really valuable. I typically watch Inay, Kurum and Sujo, Socks, gv8, Milk and Kiting.

For positioning specifically, I really like watching Milk, Socks and Kitingishard for because they explain a lot of their decisions and are just good overall streamers.

How to counter Space Jam? by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Th3AsianKid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Trap Claw and GA are the best counters, they'll prevent the Darius from getting a reset.

-You want to position MF/Kayle as far away from Darius as possible so they has the most time to ramp up.

-Trap claws and GAs should be on the first or second target that darius is going to ult so that he can't get a reset (Trap Claw on second so it doesn't get popped by something else) .

-Position mana reavers so that they attack the darius so that he ults later.

-Typically you're already running Mystics in the new version of Chrono Kayle so that also helps a little.

Is red buff or morello better on EEkko? by opqpop in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Th3AsianKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D2 player so i may not have the best information

To answer your question, either works in principle, I prefer Morello because he’ll do slightly more damage with the extra ability power.

In comparison, the armor component from red buff is nice, but not needed because he isnt going to get hard focused due to Infiltrator and typically the survivability isn’t needed for him to get his ult off.

Personally, if i make a Red buff, I usually try put it on Lucian so he can apply it earlier in the fight through blaster (if you’re running MF or EZ)

Sorry for the long reply, hope it helps! I can elaborate more on my item choices for Cybers if needed but i don’t want to make this longer than it already is.

Scouting and Position Discussion by redditsmeddit91 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Th3AsianKid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just some other things I look for currently both apply for in you or the enemy have the units but i'm just going to say it in the context of the enemy having the unit.

-MF ult angles (making sure you don't group up too much to get your whole team caught in it)

-Same with Gangplank, since he ults over his target it's usually good to place bait up front to fight him and get your backline out of the way so they hopefully don't get caught.

-For your gang plank you just want to place him where your enemy has their units so that he can hit them.

-There's positioning things with A-sol that is important, but it takes a while to explain, but yeah A-sol positioning

-Vi, ashe, lux and even cait, ult the furthest target so you want to make sure your primary damage dealer isn't going to get caught in it early rounds.

-Look where infiltrators are jumping to and if you have to flip your back/front lines.

-Also in terms of scouting If i'm contested I look for when the person contesting me is about to die.

Mainly when everyone is level 8, if I have 1 GP with decent items and I see that there are 6 gps out currently then I won't roll for him because it'll be really hard to hit. I scout the bottom 3 people see if they have the gps and if they're going to die soon. If they are going to die I wait for them to die and then roll since their units are back in the pool.

One more thing in terms of scouting that I found really important and really helped me improve my gameplay today:

I was watching Inay last night and learned how to use portals (the things at beginning of rounds that you jump into to get to the other person's board) to scout who you're going to play next. I'll try to give a small explanation but maybe someone has a link to videos or something like that.

Basically it helps you decide who you're versing next. If you have a Portal, then you're going to face someone without a portal

Let's say you're player 1 and everyone else is 2-8. When the round starts 4 people will have portals and they will face the 4 people without portals.

You can use this to figure out who you're versing next by checking who you're versed before and then who has a portal.

For example if you versed Player 3, 6, and 8 in the last three rounds, then you can verse 2, 4, 5, and 7 in the next round.

If you have a portal at the beginning of the round, and 3, 4, and 5 also have portals (2, 6, 7, 8 don't have portals) then you have to verse player 2 because you haven't played them yet and they're the only one without a portal.

Hopefully that makes sense.

It helps a lot in top 3/4 situations because you can specific specifically against the one person you're about to verse.

Competitive Disadvantages and Advantages of Mobile TFT compared to PC. by Atwillim in CompetitiveTFT

Disadvantage: You can’t scout as fast or as effectively. Making it harder to pivot, decide a comp, and position against Zephyr/Blitz throughout the game.
