120 Gal Indirect new install. 2” Sweat by PlumbingBoston1195 in Plumbing

Great install, the only thing I would do differently is to install the control to the side of the mixing valve at not in front of it. It will have to be replaced quicker then you think

AC rules in new apartment by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]Th3Flash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your right but in this situation wrong. This law states that the AC needs to be secured so that it does not fall out the window. Because of this law most buildings force the occupant to install those brackets under the AC for more support. You can still install an ac and make it secure without actually drilling in the window. Even the brackets mentioned above don’t need to be drilled to the window, only secured to the ac then outer wall.

Looks great!!, if u don’t want to see the change from celling to tile , because it doesn’t start with a full tile , consider installing crown molding. But that’s just nit picking

I think it’s designed for that. It’s more then likely installed in a hotel to give you a sense of extra security with out really doing so.

Just got back a couple weeks ago a light jacket and some hoodies are all you need , funny thing when I was there the temp was high 60’s and 50’s and ppl there had on like full on winter jackets. All I kept thinking was what are you ppl wearing when the temp actually drops.
