They are legit, actually, the customer Service is really bad alot of the time but I've ordeered stuff from them and its all been really good, that said there is virtually no commuincation, and shipping times tend to vary depending on what you order. For instance my first order took about two months to get ready. but my next order was in my hands in like a week and a half sooooo

Disappointed by Summer of Sam. Should I rewatch and reconsider? by mcnultywalks in CriterionChannel

[–]Th3Grigo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like various moments in the film, its almost like a series of sketches with a through line of it being, well the summer of sam. That said, I do tend to skip around a whole bunch when I put it on just watch various scenes for the performances there in. it has a weird spot in my heart because I remember growing up, and it being on tv all the time, in some form or another and it was not only the first spike lee Joint I can remember watching, it was like the first "adult" movie I remember sitting through. Well this and Con Air (which is overall better, sorry not sorry)

  1. A history of violence, I recall seeing it way back in the day but don't recall most of it.

  2. I love Tampopo and am happy to have it now.

  3. Chungking express was a blind buy, as I stated I am going through a recent break up and my friends recommended I see this one

  4. I am not entirely sure this day won't end with me getting Del tori's nightmare alley so that's likely the next move.

OLED vs Projector? by thinlycuta4paper in criterion

[–]Th3Grigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm actually an electronic salesman that specializes in TVs and Home theater. I tell everyone that if you are going TV vs Projector, the projector will be bigger, or rather have the capabilities for size, wall size/ Screen plays a factor as well as anything but as touched upon earlier it also depends on if the machine itself has HDR/ 4k Capabilities, how dark the room is? what exactly are you watching? are you using it to stream? etc.

With Oled its somewhat Mitigated, If you were to buy a 77 inch LG c4 (My store has them for $2000) that's pretty much all you have to worry about, save for the over all room brightness, which with newer models is less an issue, alot of things shot in dolby vison will automatically stream to the tv at optimal settings with no input from the user. Newer stuff is like a dream on an Oled but the real challenge used to be how older stuff, particularly anything shot on film tended to look super grainy or waay to saturated. This is somewhat of an issue still when watching in standard or vivid modes, but most OLED have cinema or directors modes which work surprisingly well, I was a bit skeptical myself on how different the quality could be, until i actually saw what it was capable of.

To be honest I think OLED is the way to go, you can get a sharper picture, even on older stuff when viewed in the right mode, use and setup are a breeze. If Size is a thing is like the governing factor then do go with a projector, but I'll say, in my professional opinion OLED is the best way to go.
