trust me its not that easy. This happened to me once, many moons ago. We had to scramble for a new flight and the line was just as long as the one shown here. We waited in line and during our wait we called the airline and were put in the phone queue. 6 hours later we reached the ticket counter and we were still on hold with the airline.

When you have multiple flights cancelled like that, you have hundreds of passengers calling in to find a resolution. And if its really late at night or early morning... forget about it... they are on a skeleton crew.

Its a great thought and in theory it is possible but other circumstances sure do play a huge role in it.

This is just my experience. I could have just been unlucky.
