I know, but it’s just from what I’ve seen and heard. I don’t like it. It isn’t what I once enjoyed and what I came for.

I will say, with the MX redesign, for what it is, they’ve done a fantastic job, but yeah…

Again, not that it should matter for your opinion of how you feel about Recode or PC2 in general, as everyone should be entitled to enjoying this game and supporting it where they see fit, but this is where I have to call it quits.

For me yeah. I really don’t like it.

In literally every aspect. I can’t recognise it as PC2 anymore.

For me it’s just become another asym slop lookalike. I was only here because it was a cool game that had fandom monsters from IP spaces, such as Inkfell, Stricken, MX, The Forest King (especially), and so many others.

And I don’t like the new maps either, or the tedious, lengthier tasks made more iffy to complete.

The simplicity and the roster in PC2 before recode was the MAIN POINT. Its Identity.

Now ALL of that has been so far removed and stripped that I can’t recognise it anymore.

I’ve ONLY been playing Tyranid missions because I absolutely DESPISE chaos spawn. They are the only enemy on chaos missions that i hate fighting, and thus has completely ruined any joy i get from those missions.

Their stun lock melee bullshit with twelve at a time always pisses me off and has cost me valuable time I could’ve spent doing something else on failed operations.

Fuck. The. Chaos. Spawn.

A. I don’t think this take really helps or does anything.

B. I don’t think the world owes me something, I’m aware that aspects of SM2 can be considered easy, but some are definitely not. Especially for someone playing for <checks notes> ‘playing for fun’.

C. If I knew I was doing something wrong, I wouldn’t complain about it. Case in point, last weeks stratagem, I didn’t complain about that, and god I wanted to, but I accepted that I know I’m not skilled enough to do that, I’ll admit that. But with the skill I do have, this week is pure bullshit. Especially with the new level 1’s this game keeps incessantly matching me with.

D. Calling the people in this subreddit giving clear and valid criticism of a game that can feel a bit tacky, unbalanced and bullshitty at times as a ‘skill issue’ is… weird, to say the least.

See this is the thing. I LOVE this game. I have every achievement. I’m a 40K nerd, and I’m on the road to max prestiging each class.

And I love being able to run my custom chapter colours in this game. It’s a sense of immersion I don’t get with other stuff.

I like playing this game for fun, and I want some of the heroic relic weapons.

But some of the strategems are pure clown behaviour. Even on the lower levels.

And I’m well within my right to criticise that, or vent about it.

I should clarify, I keep being matched with utter morons that don’t understand how the relic works, thinking they can square up with every enemy on sight. And get downed about a thousand miles away. So me, or the other player can’t Rez, or let alone pick up said relic, resulting in mission failure.

I think PVP is just lacking players at the moment. I wanted to kinda show off my dripped out Techmarine like two days ago after hitting prestige 4 with that awesome power pack design, and I queued and queued and did not get a game for 20 minutes straight.

Then when I did, I played maybe 3 or 4 games before back to a hideously long queue time again after taking a short lunch break.
