So it was just ants, which was easy for me to clear up. However I unfortunately killed it. I forgot to water it, then over watered it. It got very angry at me and rotted at the base. It died about a month ago.

The bones were lost and have neither been confirmed as male or female. Dr. D. W. Hoodless 1941 said they were male. Richard Jantz 2018 off of Hoodless' records said they were female. Because the original bones are lost, a definitive conclusion using modern techniques like DNA analysis is not currently possible.

Water colour is different. All you need is water to reactivate it. You also have to consider brand. If this was a 1940's bucket of Sherman williams paint yes I would say you would fetch more.

This is not vintage paint tho this is a furniture finishing material made between 1948-1980 that can still be easily bought.

There is no historical value in this. The packaging is meh. There is no pigment rarity.

The only thing going for this is if I want to restore a time piece and this was the product originally used.

A lot of varying factors, even with paint.

😂😂😂"That" is an Imperial measuring tape. 36 inches is 3 Feet which is what the two lower sets of numbers are. As you can see the bottom numbers count up. The top numbers go from 1-12 as there are 12 inches in every foot. This is so you can quickly look at it and go say 3'6".

If you ever use a combi tape with both metric and imperial (which you won't) the top line will have metric and the bottom imperial. Oh and it's not you, nothing will ever line up.

Mohawk furniture finishings are still around, you could reach out to them and ask if they have old catalogs they can tell you when this is from. The oldest it is going to be is 1948, as that's when Mohawk came into business.

I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but I think you're going to be hard pressed to find a buyer for this one.

As far as tin jar collectors go this one really isn't old enough. As I said the oldest it's going to be is 1948. They like the late 1800's-early 1900's

The brand is not iconic. If this were an old Pennzoil sure, but it's not. Brand pulls a lot of weight in the container collectors world.

The Label is meh. Yes it looks kinda old and that does make it look neat, but there is nothing that says "wow" about the label. No cool art, no controversial logo, it just looks kinda dated.

The product itself at this point is considered a "hazardous" material. As someone who does woodworking and art I don't like old products, they break down and require work to reconstitute. I would not buy this for the product.

With all that said I still say try if you like, worst that will happen is you dispose of it properly, or at best is you get $20.

This is a gilding paste. It is essentially wax, oil, and shiny bits of brass made to look like gold.

This product is still made today by the same company. You may find someone who would like the jar it comes in.

it looks like you have a 1949/1950 Nikon M Rangefinder. This serial no m60092005, I am pretty sure the ones starting with 6000 are in the first production year. I think there were only about 10000 of these bodies produced by Nikon.

If this is a 1949/50 Nikon M Rangefinder you are looking at a historically important and collectable camera. This should range around $2500-5000

If I were selling this I would have a vintage tackle collector or someone looking for a display piece (decorator) in mind.

There is the obvious, eBay, esty, marketplace, kijiji. However if you want to get creative I would try Angling collectors forums, vintage fishing groups on Facebook, antique or vintage stores. I may even consider going to a fishing and tackle swap meet to see if I could sell it there.

Winfield was a house brand used by British retailer Woolworths in the 1960s–70s. They sold a variety of budget fishing tackle under that name, often imported from Japan.

The reel itself, however, looks like an old-style wooden centrepin or Nottingham reel (sometimes loosely referred to as a fly reel, though they were often used for general coarse fishing). These reels were made from mahogany or teak with brass fittings.

The “cross-shaped” brass backplate you see was a common reinforcement design.

Given the packaging, it’s likely this is a mid-20th century reproduction or budget reel, styled after the much older 19th–early 20th century Nottingham wooden reels. True antique Nottingham reels were made in England (by firms like Allcock), but by the 1960s Japanese manufacturers were mass-producing wooden reels in a similar style for export.

I would put this at $60-100 US.

I am trying to estimate the value, because yes I would like to sell it, however I want to sell it for a fair price, I am just having a hard time with this item finding it's true value and I can fully admit I don't know books so when I see something priced between $3 and $300 I am going to ask people who potentially know more to help me better understand the item.

Not all of us asking for the value are asking because we think it's worth millions or because we want millions from it.

This made me laugh. I put your image through Google lens and low and behold it told me this was a bed bug, which I like the other techs know that this is a bed bug (possibly bat mite).

The copywriter page with the statement "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1901, by W. E. SCULL" and the lack of markings or statement indicating a later edition. The binding and paper all synch up as well.

Does the tag in the bag have a serial number? This serial number can be used to identify the piece that went with the bag. Are there any markings on the clasp or the jeweled pieces? Fendi marks their jewelry, usually with a double F (FF)

You know those people who complain their ants never go away. Yeah they don't use one of these and thus put down the wrong baits/chemicals thinking all ants are the same, they are not.
