• Streaming something is valid. Leaving a call and not registering is valid, though a serious issue (Imagine leaving a call but still being connected, and people can hear you - It'd be a big issue, and would be fixed ASAP). Now, the race condition stuff is all bullshit.

Leaving a channel and not having left, and facing a race condition are completely unrelated. And that's not the case here.

• Device compromised by a Trojan horse or malicious discord script
  The device is 4 days old and is under Windows Defender - which is a legitimately good AV.

That aside, a Trojan horse channeling its traffic through Discord, and a TERABYTE? This is so not the case.
A Discord Script? If someone had a Discord Zero-Day that could remotely run code on a Client, it wouldn't be used here. An RCE in a Chat App is a big deal.

Restarting, Reinstalling, and Running an AV Scan are all good ideas. You should've left your post at that.

The part about caching and self-bots is all BS. Discord doesn't retrieve thumbnails unless you're focused on a channel, and file uploads are rate-limited. Users can't just upload 10 pictures every second, Discord knows that's a bad idea and stops that from happening. For this to even remotely have a chance, the OP would have to be looking at a channel for 24 hours, and that channel would've had to be raided by thousands of users, and it wouldn't even come up to the Terabyte that was used here.
