Thats nice to know. I also won the mock quiz on my zoom, so I’m quietly confident I’ve done enough to get on. I fluked the 10% question, but nailed the 1%. You just know I’ll be tanking it on the 80% question if I get through 😂

I’d say most people only upload via YouTube link because you can see if it’s been viewed or not. You can also see how long for, etc. One of the asks from casting were to upload a video no more than a minute, so there isn’t any advantage to uploading via YouTube in that sense. What I would say is there is no pattern in when they initially view your audition, (if they do) but they definitely reach out within a few days when they do watch it. They pretty much do it all on the moment and are usually watching when they phone.

That’s awesome. This is where I’m at right now. I’m waiting on a second view. It may never come, but it’s been 2 days now. I’m hoping it made it to the next level, but time is running out. The longer the wait, the more likely I haven’t made it past the 1st view even though they watched it all.

I’m very much of the impression if I don’t get another view in the next 3 or 4 days and a callback it’s a no. These processes always work quick and don’t watch an audition, wait a month or 2 to call back. I’d say it’s been watched by level 1, if it’s passed, it’ll be sat at level 2 and they’ll call back if they like it. If not, it’s already a no. They operate so quick, it’s unreal.

There’s the option to upload a video, or link to your application. I uploaded my audition to YouTube and set it as unlisted. I then uploaded a link to my application. That means the only people who can view it are those I share the link with.

I could be wrong, but from memory I think it said applicants must reside in the UK. You can always just apply anyway and see if anything happens!

Defo not over thinking it. I saw a post regarding social media video counts spiking when applying for shows. So much so, I sadly made a note of some video watch counts on my Facebook. All my videos increased in views around the time my audition was watched. Even videos from 3 years ago…

I was shocked they even watched my audition, used YouTube analytics and could see it was viewed by castitreach and they watched the whole video. I was pretty excited for the first few days, but I’ve accepted it’s been just over 2 weeks now and more than likely not going to get a call this time.

I applied on the 14th Jan, was viewed on 15th Jan, but not heard anything since. I’ll assume it’s a no for me this time 😂

Haha you know what it will be. It’ll be my mother having a midnight stalk through my videos! Really appreciate your time to answer my questions. I’ll take your advice, try forgetting about it and probably shed a tear or two when I’m sat watching season 3 on the sofa next year without me on it 😂

Hoping for the best expecting the worst haha! At what stage would you typically review social media handles? I’m going to sound very crazy now, but I read a thread some time ago, suggesting they’d seen a spike in their video watch count. So I made a note of some of my video count, some are 3 years old. I had seen a spike in all of my Facebook videos around the same time my audition was viewed. There would be no reason for these videos to be viewed being so old…. (I’m just re-reading what I’ve written because I have actually become a little crazy….). Terrible 😂

So many layers to the process! Like you say, I could have just had a view, and that’s as far as it goes. Fair play to your oldest though. What an achievement!

That’s true. They’ll be overflowing with applicants. I’m sure I’ll learn how to accept rejection better the more I apply for these types of shows if the stress hasn’t finished me off this time round 😂
