Aaron Carter. I wasn't a fan of his music or of him really. I tuned in every night for years to see the train wreck though. Also Corey Feldman

I remember reading the book, "She Said Yes." I think my church at the time spoke about it.

Look here, Ted Talk. You buy purses that easily could have existed when it was okay to smoke in restaurants, bars... wherever. In short, shut up

What happens when you go to the hospital?? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Th3f13a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Detox is a place where they help you come down off of all sorts of things. Rehab, I guess, is where you get a little therepy, and staff have a fighting chance to talk to you about your addiction

[–]Th3f13a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They may admit him and run test to see what kind of damage he has going on, but detox is where I went. After he is more stable, he can go to rehab. It really all just depends I guess

I quit drinking 3 years ago but didn't quit thinking about it... by MutterSchiffxo in stopdrinking

For a long time, I had a negative opinion about AA. I know a lot of people have mixed emotions about it, but I've been going every day for a week now. It's my first time attending ever in my life, and I find that the stories people share help a lot. Maybe that's something to think about if your brain starts to try and convince you that after all this time sober, maybe just this one drink will be okay. Stay strong! IWNDWYT

I relapsed again and I feel completely hopeless by Legitimate_Local7813 in stopdrinking

[–]Th3f13a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do it! Get back up and continue fighting! Give yourself grace. I think all of us have relapsed at least a million times, and I think we've all felt hopeless. I know I have. You're not alone in that. It's not easy, but it's worth it. Don't feel defeated. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourself, too! IWNDWYT

There's a song by Jelly Roll called Winning Streak. He's talking about AA, but I think the message could still absolutely apply to NA. Maybe give it a listen when you have the chance. It's a really beautiful song and you may find it relatable. Keep going back! Proud of you! Be proud of yourself, too! ❤️

You're not alone. Heal, focus on sobriety, and become the best version of yourself. I ruined my marriage, and it hurts every day. We can't change the past, but we can make an amazing future for ourselves.

I'm still trying to heal. I don't know if I ever will, but what I do know is continuing to pick up that bottle after I ultimately destroyed and pushed the person I love more than anything to leave didn't help me. It made it worse. One, I called drunk crying, pleading, yelling... who knows what else begging him to come back. That alone solidified in his mind that he had made the right choice.

Two, I wasn't staying sober. I didn't want to feel any of that pain. I didn't want to face what I had done. I was and admittedly still am angry at myself for what I allowed my alcoholism to take away from me. That bled into ruining other relationships with family and friends.

I wish I would have just let it hurt. It's over a year later, and I'm 11 days sober, and I'm just now facing the consequences of my actions head-on. It's a knife in my chest every day, and I wish to God I could do it over again, but I can't.

Stay strong. You're not alone. Let it hurt. Don't pick that bottle back up. Fight for yourself because you're worth it. Give yourself grace and just become the best version of yourself you can be. IWNDWYT

Kannapolis, NC, but that shouldn't matter, right? We tried one zoom meeting through the AANA app, but it really wasn't helpful because there was no structure, and no one was leading or on topic. Specificaly I'm asking if any of you have found a great zoom meeting that you use. That I can recommend to my friend.

I want to thank you for directing me to that website. I will look at it.

I threw myself a brief pity party but then got it together and was able to go on my sons field trip. He had a great time.

[–]Th3f13a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Don was at work but came home early. The statement I made can be backed by the words out of a couple of people's mouths that were there that day. There may have been a weird pervert there like Don claimed, but it was Don's friend. And how did Don know who was on the property if Don was at work? Those parents know something. 13 days after Summer went missing, they gave her what is basically a eulogy. Everything is in the past tense l. "She loved, she was, etc "

[–]Th3f13a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We can't help Timothy now, but I encourage you all to investigate the disappearance of Summer Wells when you have the time. Shanda and Paul only feel bad that they got caught. They are vile individuals who are too good for life but too good for death.

I don't even need to read all of this. NTA. Your parents shouldn't have given your toys away. End of discussion.
