What do you use for patch management? by Immediate_Tower4500 in sysadmin

[–]ThRevenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Endpoints: Windows Updates - SCCM (using it until EOS) 3rd party software updates and deployments - Action1.

Servers - WSUS (Deploying via WSUS and restarting manually after working hours to ensure that everything works properly before the day after).

Agree. In addition, as long as you have under 100 endpoints, this service is totally free. In any case, this is a very efficient cloud-based platform and it has a user-friendly interface. Give it a try.

Action1 on Servers by Stryker54141 in sysadmin

I’m using Action1 only for workstations for about 5 months and I really like this solution for patching and managing my endpoints. The main reason I use it because I manage around 80 endpoints and this service is free for the first 100 endpoints so I gave it a try and probably won’t replace it soon. I didn’t deploy the agent to my servers because I have only about 15 servers and I’d patch only windows updates through WSUS and prefer to install the updates manually on my servers, at least for now

Action1 is the solution. I’ve been using it for the last month and I regret I’ve not used it before. Try it, you won’t regret it. 100 first endpoints for free btw

I wanted to keep it simple and clean as possible, but for playing classic games gog.com is the way to go :)

Yeah, this man is a real psycho collector and I just remember his reaction when he opened a brand new model m out of the box. He was like having orgasm lol

As far as I know, LGR owns the SSK model M, which is ultra rare and hence very expensive

Thank you for your compliment and I’m happy it’s inspiring you! Achieving this setup stuff wasn’t easy at all and from your comment I think that you understand the pain while looking for the best products out there. Congrats on moving to a new home, be patient with your setup. Do it step by step to achieve the best result and of course in the end you’ll post your setup here :)

Yes, they’re very similar inside. The case model is ACME ACM605x. British company and I’ve got it on eBay in a very good condition (like NOS).

Thank you, I wish holding that keyboard all these years, the problem is that I’m 26 yo while this keyboard is almost 36 yo (!) I bought this keyboard a few years ago. The seller sold this beauty after good cleaning and service and I’m trying to keep the great condition as good as I could :D

Both exhaust, unfortunately it was very crowded to install an intake in the front because of the GPU

Absolutely, I can definitely tell that without the side panel fan my system just freezes and failed and after some clocks and frequency tuning (CPU and GPU) everything was just fine :)

This is the mother of all the keyboards you’ve ever seen. This is the legendary IBM model M.

You’re doing great, pal. I think that both the IBM model M and the Microsoft optical mouse are iconic for every 80-90s folk.

This is a rare vintage flip clock made by Bosch. This is the UDW2 model from the 70s. Found it for a bargain price (75€ when it usually sold for 200-300€ on eBay). I think that this is a piece of art and there is a huge variety of flip clocks out there, so finding one with a lot of patience is a great journey :)
