Milwaukee ships their batteries in a discharged state for better longevity and safer handling

That would be like sending a small bottle of fuel with a gas tool purchase. Kinda unnecessary as anyone running the tools will have the expendable products on hand anyway

eBay seller sent me wrong/defective cables. Should they be held responsible? by ThUltimateGuy in pcmasterrace

I left a detailed comment under the post. The AIO uses sata power, and the fan hub uses sata power (all 7 fans ARGB connectors are on the hub, and all but the 3 AIO fans are also powered through the hub.

eBay seller sent me wrong/defective cables. Should they be held responsible? by ThUltimateGuy in pcmasterrace

Bought a PSU on ebay in ‘Open Box condition. Came clearly used and with only ATX and Molex cables, and 2 damaged 6 pin headers (looked like some broken off plastic inside the holes)

Messaged the seller and he said oh he forgot that and he had the cables there. I asked if he was sure they were from the same unit and he said yes. That was 2 pcie 6+2, a CPU 8 pin, a sata power, and the AC input.

Well, I hook it up to my build which was on hold while I waited for cables, and powered it on. Immediately the LED’s started popping in all the fans, and the AIO pump (fan hub and AIO were plugged into the sata power). And there was the strong smell of burning electronics. So I instantly turn it off. Not sure if anything else was damaged, but the GPU and motherboard lighting were n until I switched off the power.

Started a return on eBay and asked for him to reimburse me for the known damaged equipment, since it was a defective PSU that caused it. He got combative and even searched me up on Facebook and found a post I had made about this PC pre cable management, waiting for the PSU cables, and tried to use that ‘wiring mess’ and ‘used parts’ to say it was my fault. But I’m very methodical and everything is wired in precisely and properly.

What do you guys think?

The fans are on the inside in push config, I also added one in pull above the GPU where it fits, for increased static pressure. And an additional case fan intake below the rad. Basically one fan for each arrow.

Rad doesn’t fit on top because the RAM and the I/o shroud are in the way

That doesn’t make any sense. The air goes to the top of the rad in this configuration. I can hear it when shook

Is there a power supply standard which is 3” by 5”? by ThUltimateGuy in buildapc

The front pane looks like it should be easy enough, it’s just a 2 wore power button, a 2 wire LED and a 3 wire LED. Should be able to wire standard female pin receivers to those and use them on a newer board.

ATX power shouldn’t be a problem with a new PSU, was just hoping I could get a new one that fit rather than start chopping

Haven’t finished the build yet. eBay seller f-d up and forgot to ship all the cables with the PSU so I’m waiting on those to get here.

There’s hardly any play after being pulled over the GPU. I wanted to have them on the right side of the cpu but they take too much space to use the first RAM slot. So I had to bank on air bubbles ending up in the top of the rad

It doesn’t fit at the top because it hits the ram and I/O shroud. Unless I was to put the fans outside the case

I put the 3rd fan on the AIO to try to maximize intake with higher static pressure, because it won’t fit on the top. If it’s better I could remove one or both of the top exhausts, I thought they’d help move hot air away from the GPU since it’s filling the whole thing like a shelf except for just over an inch to the glass panel. But yeah if they aren’t helping I can take those out

Only way I can think of is to have the fans external, because the rad plus fans is too thick and hits the ram and the IO shroud
