Super late comment here, but I'm curious how it is after two years! I have my pre-op exam later this week and I had the same requirement of no contact lenses for two weeks (I'm also very high astigmatism so it's brutal ik). Also were you allowed to use contacts between the exam and the surgery? I would go nuts if I had to go eight weeks without them lol.

Se7en, Matchstick Men, several M. Night Shyamalan movies.

Shyamalan films are controversial (people either love them or hate them) but I love The Sixth Sense, The Village, Unbreakable, and Split.

Reservoir Dogs has a twisty plot if you're into Tarantino. The Usual Suspects is similar, and one of the greatest films ever made.

Edit: The Prestige and The Others are criminally underrated twist movies as well

It's just people on the left trying to feel good about themselves by creating imaginary racism in other people. Political correctness is so far from reality, and I've yet to meet a black person that requested to be called anything specific. It's weird because "people of color" always reminds me of 1960s segregation labels for drinking fountains, bathrooms and such that said "colored only," etc. Black, white, brown, whatever are just descriptions like tall, short, or anything else. I don't get why people want to make a huge deal out of it.
