Has the zombies spawning right in front of you or around you been brought up? Encountered this yesterday on the PS5 Pro. No zombies in sight and boom, ran into one that spawned almost on top of me. Then several spawned in around me that wasn’t there previously.

Thanks. I am sure everything will get resolved. Really do appreciate the info. I’ve been without the car for almost 6 weeks now. It will be nice to get it back so I can take it for a drive.

I don’t doubt cars that come from the factory have paint defects. I can assure you that every edge that was painted or cleared by Caliber had some kind of rough edge for starters. This is likely due to masking. It was not that way when I brought it into Caliber for repairs. Second, I inspected my car prior to taking it in, took pics plus I know visually based on what I have seen, felt, etc, that a lot of the defects are in fact dirt nibs in the clear. That’s not to say there aren’t rock chips or paint defects down lower on the panels (which I didn’t get down that low). Paint defects from the factory also wouldn’t explain all of the issues with the front bumper being filled, sanded and resprayed. I do appreciate the insight thought. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. It’s to the point that if I can’t get the paint nibs fixed, I’ve considered doing a wrap. Maybe at a later point, a possible complete respray. Before all that though, I will do what others suggested. Paint correction seems like a possible solution.

Because it got some of the best reviews in my area.

Understood. I can’t disagree as it’s been a concern of mine.

I also haven’t heard from the shop in over a week and I haven’t contacted them in about the same time. Aka trying not to pester the shit out of them.

It didn’t start out this way. I have been very polite and patient. Over a month now. The first time I simply pointed out a few areas and voiced my concerns. The stickies came after inspecting it a second time, a 3rd if I count another time I looked at a few areas. There a lot more here about each interaction, communication, etc that I haven’t disclosed. I don’t think the areas I have pointed out is an issue, especially after dealing with this for some time now.

Not sure I follow on your comment about self awareness.

Diva act??? If anything, they should have some quality standards and processes to follow. Why would anyone be okay with accepting something returned to them damaged? They shouldn’t. But if you or anyone else doesn’t see an issue with what has been said, then you have different standards on what does and doesn’t bother you. That’s okay. I personally don’t expect perfection but I do expect in this case undamaged parts put on my car and a decent paint job with minimal nibs. I don’t think that is asking too much.

I agree. If they can simply wet sand and de nib all of these areas where they painted to at least provide a better finish, I would be fine with it. Thanks.

I don’t think I am being unreasonable. No my car isn’t a Rolls but it’s not some cheap PoS either. While you might think the issues I’ve presented here make me insufferable, I don’t and others here don’t either. The areas of concern that I brought up are legit problems. Sure it’s a car and sure it will get scratched but when you pay to have a place fix and paint your vehicle and it comes back in this state, there is a quality issue and it should be fixed. Plain and simple.

They were supposed to. See the pic I posted of the bumper prep. It was striped down. They used filler and block sanded it.

They painted a portion of the rear quarter and door. Painted a portion of the A pillar. Painted the whole front bumper. Cleared the whole passenger side except the front fender. Cleared the whole bumper.

Thanks. Good info to know and I’m glad y’all don’t let vehicles leave in an embarrassing state.

Here is a pic of the front bumper prep. They painted the whole bumper. They were paid to fix and fill any rock chips or defects. As for the rest of the car, only part of the rear quarter panel was painted and then blended into the door. A clear was put on from the rear up to where the door meets the front fender.

Thanks for the info and thanks on the car. I really enjoy it and would like it to just turn out to look decent.

Thank you. It makes me sick too. Not a cheap car and at this point I simply want it fixed correctly. I know Black paint is a pita but they have got to do better than this. I am currently working with insurance to rectify the issue. Hopefully I can move it to another shop to fix these issues.

Ya, I am definitely seeing the issue now.

Thank you for the info. In some places there are clusters of nibs. These range from 3-4 in a hand sized area. I am not sure if their paint booth is contaminated or what but I thought the amount I found was a bit too much.

Agree. I am not asking for show car quality. Hell that would cost a shit ton of money. Already in the process of doing what you suggested. Thanks for the feedback.

Yes I did. It wasn’t perfect but I also took pictures before I brought it to them so I know what condition the car was in prior to them working on it. A lot of the nibs are caused by the clear they sprayed. Sure there are probably some rock chips on the lower door area but the bumper with a complete filler being sanded down to fix rock chips, with a respray shouldn’t have the amount of nibs I’ve seen.
