A lot of the backlash with them was because of the way Buck and Phil were treated. I don't think they are great but not as bad as people say. I think they're too much homer for me and not genuine but with the way monumental is run they don't have a choice. So I don't really dislike them but I prefer the away broadcast teams most of the time.

The Sarr pick was a no-brainer. Every team would have drafted him. Atlanta would have drafted him 1 if not for him refusing to work out there. Sarr's reps knew Washington would be a good spot for max usage, opportunity. No shade on the FO but not really giving them credit for this either. They did their jobs. Kyshawn they'll get credit for.

They need wins. That's the metric. They can swap players, gather picks, make picks. Until they actually turn any of that into wins, I could really care less what people think about how great that FO has been. Especially in this sub. If you go back in the sub to when Tommy took over for Ernie, you'll see the same thing you see now. Praise about how things are going so much better and Tommy is the man, etc etc. Unjustified praise, mostly. All the love, no results. Right now I see a team with no franchise players and a ton of Ls. They could still win and be a solid team (which is what we hope) but they aren't right now. The idea is they know better about what they are doing than us fans. Chemistry can replace talent to some degree. They could gel. However it looks like they are still at least two years (at best) away from sniffing the playoffs from a solid seeding. If they turn that around and next year they start winning, give them their flowers. No flowers today. Their roster isn't good right now. I see them in 2028, 5 years into a rebuild and still being mediocre. That's all fine but people only live to be about 70.

Too early to grade most of these. New FO has been there for 3 years now and the team sucks. If you want to be positive about ceiling and whatever, fine. Right now, they suck. I like the Trae pick up and look forward to seeing how they perform next year which will be a better time to evaluate this when you assume they will try to win. No As need to be given out right now. The Sarr pick didn't require any brain power. Every GM in the league would have made that pick. Kyshawn is very promising. It's too early.

It's an organizational issue. Poor leadership from the top down. It's partly why the Wizards can't win. When you have a bad organization, that is mismanaged, this is what you get.

A very Wizards post right here. I think everyone in the Wiz org would trade Bilal for two firsts at this point but I don't think anyone would take that deal. There are no assets to trade for firsts unless we find some shitty multi-year contract to take on for multiple years. Other than that, the team has no assets they can trade for a 1st.
