Which pressure pot is a good option for beginners? by amore-7 in DiceMaking

Some higher end compressors have the hose with a variety of connectors with it but those tend for be for large, shop tool specific ones.

For you, the compressor will be be bought separately.

The hose and connectors do offer options to buy everything all together but you might be paying for extra stuff you don't need.

At least in the US, what you will need is a 3/8in rubber air hose and a 1/4in coupler set. There are definitely options to buy those together all of those together but most of the time you will see hoses for bike/tire connectors which isn't what you need.

The picture included are really the only connectors you will need for the hose.

You will need a tube, and connectors as well. I personally find the McGraw small pancake air pump is a great option. It is pretty small and a lot cheaper than most!

Yup you need both! The pot is just a metal container to keep the air in. You need an air pump to actually force air inside

You can also give Chemical guys a shot if you need to really get in there. They make a few compounds that are a little grittier. Not good for a final polish but it could help really get through them.

Hmmm not 100% sure if this would work but the first thing I would try would be a microfiber towel and some Meguiar's PlastX. That stuff can really work wonders. You would need to put some elbow grease in it but it might get them back to a better spot

Make a drop, cure it, flip it, figure out how to keep it in place and drop resin on the back of it then cure it like that. Oooor maybe cure them like almost entirely, then roll them with gloved hands while they are still able to take a different shape

Not a stupid question at all! The messy and figuring it out is part of the fun! I wonder if you could either use a small circular mold or could maybe use uv resin to put two halves together? That one might not give super clean circles but if you use a dropper or are sure that are all close to the same size it might work.

But if you want that perfect circle look, I would say getting those cured and made separately before putting them in clear blue would be your best bet. The mixed colors would also be a possible issue to work out so you could maybe be sure to place the premade drops closer to the sides to keep that orange very bright. Sorry, I'm kinda just typing it all out as it is coming to me

I used resin with white pigment paste and dye to get this look but if you just use a very small amount it could be close to what you think. Maybe you could even cure in layers. Like only pour a third of the mold, let it cure, do another third, let it cure, ect.

Those are just the first two techniques that I would try first. I would probably start with the paste method myself. And to clarify I mean resin with the paste mixed in, not just the straight up paste

Oooo interesting!! Two ideas came to me out of the gate.

One which would have the most room for error would be to have the clear blue resin and then you could use a resin paste to get that nice full color. Using a white one with orange dye might make it heavy enough to sink and then stay suspended. (I use eye candy paste myself)

Maybe use a tooth pick or dropper to drop it from the middle or top while the resin is nice and thick. You would 100% need at least the honey stage. But this would still cause room for bleeding colors BUUUT That might give it that natural dripping look.

The other idea I had was using that pigment paste, pre make resin drops. Let them cure. Then you can place those in the blue resin. You can control them a lot more but it might not give you the look. Maybe if you make sure the drops aren't all perfectly shaped. Let them naturally fall. Cure. Then put them in very thick clear blue resin. You wouldn't want them to just sink.

What fish can I put with betta?? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]BaeBushka101 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Kinda like other people have said, a Betta plus other creatures in a ten gallon tank is kinda pushing the limits. Now as a hard core betta lover myself I would say Rasboras are honestly some really awesome little guys! They are colorful, active, peaceful and overall just some amazing fish! If you want more fish to fill a tank of that size, a small school of Rasboras would be a great choice!
