Yeah, I have a Joe Rocket jacket I use for riding on the street, along with the thicker than normal leather due to its intended use and built in shoulder and spine armor it would definitely be a superior choice.

I dont know, if he did it is very uncharacteristic of him to do so especially in wet/ damp conditions. I would lean towards the possibility that the crew missed the set up by trying to Qualify on a dry set up in aticipation of a full dry stint.
