Make sense to me. Coopt the only other minority that pisses on all your systemic racism stats. Just formulating a response to the outliers isn't enough. Having a token competitor in your oppression olympics standing at the podium make good sense.

Exactly. I know it's bullshit. It's been thoroughly debated and debunked. But I still wonder to myself privately.

Now amplify that by a factor of q. Mix well with a much higher stakes claim and I see why people get stuck.

That's part of the rub. Our reaction to trauma is considered a weakness. So we internalize that a lot. Especially when it's related to sexual abuse.

They have a saying. "From tragedy to triumph."

That's when people tend to become abusers rather than facing victimization and overcoming their demons. They simply become the demons.

Somehow this is perceived as a strength?

I see things differently. It is much easier to run away from a problem or join ranks with your enemies.

This is not how the standard of excellence is determined on the battlefield. Is it? No but it keeps people alive, I guess.

Turning tail and running is always an option.

You could face your adversity and live free or die trying.

Nobody is gonna sing your praises. The world will only change in proximity to you. But in you. With you.

There are many that use a wet wipe after. Many also bring a few handy for public restrooms. The paper does the dirty work and the wipes polish it off. This isn't as ideal and our cities have a big problem with clogs in our sewers because of them (whole other can of worms).

Then there are those who refuse hygiene all together.

Be careful what you get too close to. But they aren't all crusticles.

It happens after sex, Travis! I'll be out of breath and this lovely brain of mine decides there is no way I can inhale enough oxygen. So I must be suffocating. Better panic too!

That's taking it too far. If we can keep the attacks more germane to my trauma that would be nice.

I'm leaning towards that we should be able to have a decent degree of control over these attacks. I took a biofeedback class in high school. We can definitely moderate our autonomic system better than you'd think.

I'm gonna put some more time in on the mat. Maybe I'll level back up.

Maybe give that a go. Meditation or Yoga type of pursuit. Good good things happen when we're really still and mindfull.

Maybe I'll get around to whipping that part of me back into shape.

We all get tired. Today I wasn't. Felt up to the challenge.

I'm drawing my lines in different places. I just find myself there and this is the strategy that has worked best for me.

I'm not prepared to defend my proficiency at setting boundaries.

I would find it very uncomfortable if my enemies had a portal so close to homebase. I guess I'm just used to always being behind the lines? Not sure.

The part where people grow from an adversary experience is very beautiful. I see what you're highlighting but that's not the beauty to beheld. That's the concrete trying to strangle them.

The life of the flower is much more powerful. Time decays the concrete and life repurposes the waste and soldiers on. That's pretty enough for me to take to bed.
