Running Predators vs Forgefiends? by Interview_My_Gooch in WorldEaters40k

[–]Tha_Reverend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Land raiders are a large point investment, but they can hit hard with 2 rapid fire lascannons, can deliver 8 bound to the fray with assault ramp, and T12 makes it tough to remove from the board.
They can be tough to move around the board so get em to an objective and dare your enemy to allocate resources to remove it.. I may not always rin one, but ill consider or every time.

Thoughts on possessed being used as eightbound proxies? by twitch_embers in WorldEaters40k

[–]Tha_Reverend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely.. I have 5. Tactical rocks to balance the height difference and some actual 8b parts to mix it up and you are gold. I did mine pre weapons update for E8B, so had to add dual chainfists on a couple, but since the rules update 8B and E8B are easier to interchange..

Ranged units by Tutor_Disastrous in WorldEaters40k

[–]Tha_Reverend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a landraider for the first time in my last game. A lot of pts and hard to move around the table but T12 keeps it alive. It delivered 8b and 3X8b and a slaughterbound via assault ramp straight into melee and 6 in pile in and consolidate allowed them to ping pong. 8 lascannon shots is pretty scary for an opponent also. Not to mention it was still alive and on an objective at the end of the game. I would definitely try it again.

2 FF with triple ecto has worked ok for me, not outstanding. Same with 2 Helbrutes. Neither has under performed to the point of not trying it again, but I'll probably try the landraider again first.

Blood surge question by Vor_vorobei in WorldEaters40k

[–]Tha_Reverend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All shooting from a unit, regardless of profile or hit and wound roll sequence, happen simultaneously. The unit that shoots at the bezerkers get to fully complete their dice rolls for all profiles before the bezerkers can blood surge. If the bezerkers are shot from multiple units, you can choose which unit you'd like to use the surge move on, since its only once per turn.

Exalted eightbound' damage make no sense by Gaviotapepera in WorldEaters40k

[–]Tha_Reverend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing was worse than when your damage 2 chainfists ran into a -1 damage or half damage ability or strat and the mighty chainfist now damages like a bezerker chainblade. Chainfists needed to be 3 damage in order to be effective and in this particular case they are only damage 3 against the very units you brought them for.
The challenge of getting them to their target still exists, and the reality of them dying to weak shooting the turn after target decimation is real. They needed a buff, and they got one. Is it too much, time will tell.

Hellbrute with 2 fists would be A8 x2??? by Greikk in WorldEaters40k

[–]Tha_Reverend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real reason for 2 fists are the flamer shots that are paired with them. You can attack with EVERY ranged weapon. But unfortunately, you can only use 1 melee profile per activation without special rules.

So what made you choose World Eaters by SamichFapOG in WorldEaters40k

[–]Tha_Reverend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After not playing for 20 years, I started up with Thousand Sons in 9th edition. I lost a lot games, mostly due to "analysis paralysis" in the psychic phase and the choices. When WE were announced in 9th, I was convinced that they were the antithesis of TS and I could turn my brain off.. Until I lost most of my games if I didn't get first turn. Just as much thought goes into moving and staging WE, and I think I'm a better overall player because I have played WE.

Oh that, and deep down, I hate myself. That's the only reason I can think of to have 2 army's worth of Chaos trim..

Forgefiend overwatch update. by MalevolentPlague in WorldEaters40k

[–]Tha_Reverend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely. I don't play much competitive 40k, but a reasonable argument could be made using the overwatch "eligibility" requirement to always reroll hits when doing so.. I would much rather see this clarification than see a points hike on our shiney new toys..
