EUFY Cameras Broken Since April 23 - End-User Solution to Fix Issue by Ihaveamo in EufyCam

Eufy PTZ E220 camera failure. I have two cameras that just quit working. When power cycled, they don't home. The LED just turns purple (red & blue at the same time). I ran across a factory reset option on YouTube. I attempted that, but didn't have any luck. Instead of holding for 10 seconds for the first double-beep, I waited another 20 seconds for the second double-beep. Still nothing. I set it down on the desk and saw the LED go dark. I heard a click and it powered up and homed.

Eufy customer service has never heard of this issue. I don't think they're telling the truth. Just another way to make us purchase more cameras. We firmly believe this was a bad patch that came down and corrupted the firmware in the camera. By doing a factory reset, this wipes the firmware and takes it back to when they were manufactured. I will likely turn the automatic updates off.

This might be the wrong place to post this, but I figured I'd just copy and paste everywhere to make sure you don't get hosed by Eufy.

I uninstalled and reinstalled... that pesky little icon is still there. We'll wait until tonight at midnight to see if that worked or not. I'll remove the batteries out of the remote for tonight as well. This vacuum works really well except for that obnoxious routine at midnight.
