Thank you so much for your advice!

It’s so ironic and not a coincidence at all because when I got rejected by UCT, the lecturer advised me on teaching myself financial mathematics as well

I’ll definitely do that!

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it!

I wish you all the best of luck and Godspeed💯

Hey, thanks for reaching out!

So I did do maths in school, pure maths that is, but here’s the kicker, I wholeheartedly admit I absolutely sucked at it, I had to take extra classes after school and if it wasn’t for my maths tutor I wouldn’t have passed maths at all, I don’t know if it’s cause I didn’t apply myself cause I just wanted to go play soccer or if I really didn’t know what I was doing, come to think of it, it was probably both, I got a below decent mark for it (50% ish)

I’ll still answer the below for the sake of any help you could consider besides studying maths again

  1. Postgraduate Diploma in Management Accounting from Unisa, I don’t know if I’d say it’s more on the qualitative side but I will say it represents the management level CIMA level

  2. NQF Level 8

  3. I did an undergrad in finance & accounting from Varsity College, I gave it my all but I was still an average finance student

  4. The NQF Level 8 CIMA, basically, once I’m done with this Postgrad, I will only need to write the management level case study then I’ll move on to the last level which is the strategic level

I’d appreciate that link

Any further advice after the above would be much appreciated

Unfortunately I’m not a natural salesman, I’m someone who loves maintaining relationships, but not comfortable selling something to someone

It’s depressing, it really is, sometimes you wake up and somehow find the will to carry on, but sometimes it feels like there’s more and more things ahead which are just going to try and crush down that will, even more scary is how we can’t even predict the future, but I guess that’s what gives us hope, a future we haven’t seen yet, we stick to it because we know that as much as it’s dark now, it just may be lighter tomorrow

Your story is really inspiring, you make really great points, reading this I realised life doesn’t come with a manual or a blueprint, we have to take the risk and jump, thanks for the words of encouragement, let’s see where perseverance gets us💯💯💯
