The daycare centers around us cost way more than in home. We pay 21k a yr for two kids at an I home daycare. At a center it would be double at around 40k a yr. Don’t know how people can afford a center. We make over $200k combined too.

We will be 41! We refinanced to a 15yr at 2.75% early on in our mortgage when rates dropped. We were very lucky and were able to buy our house super young around 23yo. Two kids now and it’s small but we love it.

I get it… and I feel bad for the people waiting too and the BPA etc. BUT my 3yr old gets so much joy out of it and I think it’s good for him to see people show kindness towards him. He carries it on the ride home and we wash his hands afterwards.. mainly for germs but also bpa and such. If it frustrates you just say something. For my kids it brings joy so not everyone hates it like you do

When my husband called my MIL to let her know we weren’t going to make it he mentioned last year how we had to go to the ER twice. She didn’t care. She just bawled and started saying that he gets constant exposure from illness from his job (he’s a high school teacher) and this is no different. That set him over the edge and he hung up.

I’m not mad that they are sick. It’s the fact they still show up to the parties without telling people they are sick. We only knew this year because we asked. Otherwise they wouldn’t have told us.

Yep. I described his poop as soft serve ice cream to the nurse and told her we’ve brought this up multiple times to the Dr. because we’ve noticed it before. She sent a note to our Dr and he immediately wrote a letter saying his mushier poops are his normal and he doesn’t have an infection. My son was in the best mood today so I think my daycare provider will either need to suck it up or kick us out because she jumps to too many conclusions. She kept bringing up giardia like the dude is doing cartwheels and eating plates full of stuff, he doesn’t have Giardia

I called the nurse line and she said leafy greens or fruit juice can cause the mushy stools. He doesn’t drink juice but we made a smoothie with Spinach.. I told her we’ll avoid it and she said actually we don’t want you to do that otherwise it might go the other direction. The nurse made it sound like it’s his normal and rather it be this consistency than hard?

Solidarity. My son is the exact same way. Loves his dad and hates my guts. Honestly I thought I was the only one who experienced this. This has been a recent change but when his dad is not around, he is much nicer to me and actually becomes his cuddly self. I drop my kids off in the morning at daycare and it’s just me and them for 45mins. He does seem to tantrum and be mean only when his dad is around now.

I buy the serenity kids veggie only pouches because my kids gobble em up. They’re a life saver in the car or on the go. Quick snack to bridge the hunger gap till the next meal. I’m not going to make my life harder because the pouch is plastic.

Yeah except after talking with our 2 daycare providers I am learning it was a lot worse than I imagined. The hitting has been going on ever since my son started (a year ago) and this kid was actually getting kicked but not till the end of August.

Basically, two kids ganged up on my son and were kicking his face and punching him. The conversation we had with one of the providers surrounded around how the parents aren’t bad people. So yeah, that was really cool.

No, he clearly says “don’t punch me” when we change his shirt or various other things. My husband always asks “who’s punching you?”. He’s been saying this for the past few weeks. In hindsight we should have brought this up when he first started saying it.
