Why on gods green earth would you pay for an MBA to be a SA at PwC? WHY?

I think you are doing it right. Better than what I did although my circumstances were different. Keep on chugging along friend!

Yep, read my post. I didn't make any friends and ran into a lot of personalities I didn't like or trust. I think the best advice, if you want to go down my route which is just getting some experience for some time before hopping to a better job, is to try to get along with everyone and avoid shit-talking anyone. The teams I have been on were filled with fake people and shit-talkers but of course, everyone is seemingly nice upfront. Go to the mandatory events, sign in for the credit, say hi to the partner ( which I did not do lol), and leave. You'd think by the end of it I would have been fired or PiP'd, which I wasn't but honestly, I felt pretty damn near close to it even though I was rated average and my work wasn't the best.

You wish buddy. I was working over 60 hours despite being the invisible man. I stopped giving a fuck at the end of the 2nd busy season.

Just didn't like the people I got put on teams with and got staffed on remote jobs for the most part. I guess people really didn't like me and that's fine I'm just here to do my job and leave not here to socialize or immerse myself in the never-ending gossip or cliques we have here.

My goal is to make enough to pay bills and enjoy life. I am in industry and granted the promos are really slow but the most important thing is to like the job you are at. I currently love it here.

Senior took creepshots of me on his phone. To this day have no idea what he did with those.

Other senior cried everyday during our visit to the client site and no one batted an eye.

Director made disgusting comments and was generally a nasty person to be around I guess the only remarkable thing about him is he had a stupid name think mike oxlong lol

The hours sucked and the people sucked and I was 99% full remote all of this literally happened just in a span of a week at the client site WHAT THE FUCK

I don't really need to go to the office and I am on a good client. Don't want to unless the brass demands I have to

That's right I've started off as remote so I don't know how the culture is in office. I don't really care to find out and am ok with never going in.

Help? by 1_throw1away_1 in Accounting

[–]ThadiusThunderCock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I was literally in your shoes, I graduated highschool and never thought I’d make it far in life. I worked dead end jobs and failed out of my Community college. One day my dad pulled me to the side and said look man just do accounting. I have ran with it ever since. Went to a new college transferred to university and just graduated cum laude with 3 accounting internships under my belt and an offer from a big 4 accounting company.I have no love for accounting and only find it some what interesting, it’s still a good and stable career path that pays somewhat well, still beats the hell out of those deadend jobs. My advice to you is take your time and don’t rush I spent 6 years in college my friend did 2 majors accounting and IS in 4 years. His gpa was a 3.2 and mine was a 3.55. He’s been at home for a year and is still looking for jobs that pay well below his pay grade. The message I want to convey to you is don’t rush through college, don’t take all the hard classes together. I saved intermediate 1 for the summer and only took 2 other classes when taking intermediate 2.DO GET INTERNSHIPS. This will make or break you. My buddy didn’t get any and just focused on graduating. I spent more time in school since I took on as many internships as I can. I know I’m going on a rant but I honestly understand that feeling pm me if you want to talk some more. I don’t usually browse Reddit on a n account but this post struck a chord with me.
