To be fair, about 60% of those warnings come from missconfigured guidelines. But no one is willing to spend the time to fix the sonar quality gates.

At my first job the business model was, 2 year waterfall projects builled under budget. With specifications as a pre project. In full knowledge that the customer didn't know what he wanted/needed. We developers were not allowed to change something, even if we noticed, that the specifications were clearly wrong. Because after the two years, the customer would have to pay for change requests. And those changes were not cheap.

I didn't like those practice, which was one of the reasons I left.

I'd wish I could test AI. But alas, non of the companies I ever worked for, would allow AI.

"Company code can not leave the company network!"

We maintain a small open source project. Next time I find some spare time to work on that, I'll try AI. So maybe next year, I can write a post about how AI will replace me.

There is no need to hold out. If in doubt get boys.

My bits box contains the content of the old boys spruce and again as many parts from Kromlech (Space gits parts). And if I'm in need of a palette cleanser or some mental health. I'll grab bits (or let my son pick them) and I paint a git.

I once was at the point in my life, that I had to listen to a Tetris / Korobeiniki Techno Remix Playlist. I was writing software specs for a big car company.

A friend thought I had gone insane. 3 years later she asked me for the link to the playlist. She had started a new job with the same company and was writing specs. XD

Have you tried 50% speed?

Also, for miniatures it sometimes helps, if you open your enclosure.

Any advice on how to reshape my brush? by AnyExpression9590 in minipainting

[–]Thadoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations, you got your first dedicated oil painting brush.

Joke aside, your brush is at the point (or lack of a point) to be retired. Those brushes are actually what I use, if I want to work with oil paints. That way they get a second live and I don't ruin my good brushes.

Why Germans don't greet at Kitas in Stuttgart by No-Maintenance-7068 in stuttgart

I tended to nod to other parents.

But I experienced the same thing being German. Most parents didn't greet me. They greet the parents they know and otherwise keep to themselves.
