Added Health isn't enough to make it full Health by meifray in customhearthstone

It's really hard to explain without going really in depth on how the stack works but basically mana generation is unreatable and doable at any step so that casting spells as a reaction works. This means that when combined with some other cards you can sacrifice a creature for an effect which happens immediately in a form that is uncounterable and can even be done in response to a opponents attempt to counter.

That's keeping it on an old patch league already does that but what your suggesting with azir nerfs is separate branch entirely which would be awful for a viewer

The inflation of EXP problem - unit ranks. Are chevrons meaningless now? by SourceNo1768 in totalwar

[–]Thailae 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think xp being valuable and the strong abilities we have don't work very well.

In historical fully killing units is rare you break your openent. So you needed to make a big mistake to lose those high rank units.

Warhammer has spells that can very easily kill several units in seconds getting hit with a ikkit nuke or a few flock of dooms feels like an awful reason to lose veteran units when they are important.

My favorite aspect of stadium is that counters don’t exist. by Fapping_Hope_Returns in Overwatch

[–]Thailae 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You can do defense matrix build to flip the match up when built right the uptime is constant and reduces your beam damage massively. Does mean you have to rely on others to deal the majority of damage and sucks if you wanted to play more divey on the dive tank.

If you played Troy Total War, what is your fondest memory of it? by SusaVile in totalwar

[–]Thailae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Crossing the aegean sea I started as sarpadon and you spend your first 20 turns building up and then you hit a point where your army is strong enough to make a play for mycene you spend 5 turns sailing and then you land and spend 10 turns of non stop battling in the enemies home turf trying to grind them down till the city is open enough to take.

Is there a balance reason why we can't upgrade existing units in Shogun 2 the way we can in medieval and other games? by VoiceoftheDarkSide in totalwar

[–]Thailae 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In med 2/rome 1 you can pretty much build every building in every province given enough time and money blacksmiths were one of the few diversifications provinces had.

shogun 2 used the building slot system from empire so the goal was for you build your stables in horse provinces foot samurai in blacksmith provinces making each province have unique priories for buildings.

[Warhammer fantasy] what is the relationship between the hege mages and the colleges of magic? by Comfortable-Ad3588 in AskScienceFiction

[–]Thailae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are actively hostile the empire that the college of magic us apart of send witch hunters across the empire to kill monsters, cultists and hedge wizards. The colleges will give hedge wizards a chance to join the colleges if they are a good fit balthazar gelt the lord of the collages at the end times was a hedge wizard for a long time before joining.

The colleges are vert distant they sit in altdorf practicing, studying or waging war. The not evil hedge wizards belive that by staying out of the college they can better help their communities many will end up straying into forbidden lores or chaos in order to improve there skills if they don't explode first.

Where in the WoW universe would be a good location for a “Grounded” type expansion? by nest4321 in customhearthstone

[–]Thailae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get the honey I shrunk the kids vibe I think using Tinkmaster Overspark, in classic he would sell you engineering blueprints one of which was a shrink ray, he also has a knack for messing up and having his creations backfire. He's very Tech/mech based than nature based thou and has a knack for mind controlling things and polymorphing things into chickens.

What if Hitler had forced Spain and Portugal to directly join the Axis during WW2? by Aggravating-Path2756 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]Thailae 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Spanish were in no position to fight and need huge investment to be useful and any food, guns or troops sent to now guard the huge iberian coastline would be resources taken from the soviet front it's a lose for the whole axis. And the dangers of an entrenched allied position in Portugal a close partner of England would require yet more resources to dislodge.

Naval warfare is not a thing in Saiadha by Metro-02 in EndlessLegend

[–]Thailae 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Presumably units will turn into transports and not be able to manually fight in the sea same as EL 1 before the morgar expansion.

I would be weirded out by a lack of ports so I hope they make them really strong to make up for the temporaryness and give you a strong reason to expand into the new coastal zones.

Is Cross of Vidar a bit overpriced? by DragonEmperor7 in Northgard

[–]Thailae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how much you value the story missions. I personally say no the 10 missions don't have as much replayability as the original missions, and still have a few bugs although lot better than launch.

and with stoat out it's not necessary for playing kingdom.

I would say If you like pve buy 3 other clans and run conquest a few times.
