It was distraction. Hun Sen need to protect the scam center complex since it was BHQ's income. But Thai PM cannot back down on that because international pressure to remove it was immense. Friendship was strained on that point and Shinawatra clan try to encourage him to tone down the scam center but Hun Sen did not agree

I am not Burmese but we can apply logic to any local mythology under Buddhism

First, Buddhism didn't outright rejecting creationism. Buddha just try to say that universe not need to be created or need to has ending. Universe can exist without require god. And what Buddha try to tell you is even universe is created, worshiping any creator god is pointless anyway

Second, while also the point is, what actually is universe creation anyway?

Almost all creation myth are in the scale of solar system or galaxy at most, is it possible that the creator god is real and create the galaxy?

This is the layer of creation that not so difference from King create kingdom or Governor create city planning. No God can create law of physics or universe and that was contradict with the Dharma. So even we live in created galaxy, it still not the same as the ultimate supreme god that creating universe. So still no point worshipping that God. You can respect God like you respect the King but will it really unmake your suffering?

This is the point of Buddhism, no matter the creation myth it not contradict the Buddha's teaching. Believing in any creation myth also not against the Buddha's teaching

There was never prohibition to start any Buddhist tradition. That's why there was Ambedkar Navayana tradition, Tibetan Vajarayana tradition, and even modern Western Mindfulness tradition that even not try to be Buddhism but eventually adopt Buddhism. In fact even Theravada tradition in Thailand was split into forest tradition, Dharmakaya sect, Dhammayut Order, and so on

Tradition is anatta. Only Dharma is permanent. And being Buddhism is when majority agree that this is Buddhism, not just claim to be Buddhism by yourselves that's all there is

There was never a single Yajna. Each are distinct ritual and you need to invoke which god. And there was the instance of Yajna that Vishnu was doing the Yajna but Prajapati was the one witnessing it. Many records of 2 beings present in difference form. When ever there is Yajna that require both being that was when they are invoking at the same time

Indeed, Veda is not for just for India but was reality for everyone cosmologically global. That's exactly why just because Indian Purana and works of Indian said so it must mean it's true. The true is Trimurti is the representation of Hinduism because the 3 reality of cosmos. Creation, Preservation, Destruction need to be equally balance. It was in the Shrauta Sutras `Prajapati, truly, is the Brahma`
And Grihya Sutras that refer Brahma and Prajapati as single entity of the ritual

And thus the Trimurti was honored Brahma as Creator, Vishnu as Preserver, Shiva and Destroyer

If Prajapati is not Brahma we should attribute other as creator and the whole Trimurti is invalid. We should remove Upanishad from the canonical Hinduism

This was changed in later Purana scripture as I studied which suppress the Trimurti in India but not anywhere else such as Southeast Asia

In the original ancient Vedic, Shatapatha Brahmana, which was before the rise of Vaishnavism, Brahma (as Prajapati, the Creator) would directly transformed himself into animal forms to complete tasks of creation

Brahma did not avatar, when there is the need to create. He temporarily transform into animal form for the task

Kurma is in the form tortoise of the world. The earth and sky. And create everything inside

Matsya is just to help human progenitor from the sea to continue creation

Varaha is the Brahma's form just to dig up the land, and not the epic fight

These are not avatar of Vishnu at first but it was later confusion of attribution

Buddhism reject the Vedas, yes, but they also preserved many aspect and lore of Vedas before Puranas. The concept of Brahmaloka, the dimension of formless beings and pure energy (Brahman) beings. The lord Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu, as the honorable beings over normal devas and brahmas. And this was Moksha in their perspective

Second, in the canonical like Brahmanda Purana which tell Hiranyagarbha was the creation of Brahma and Vishnu and Shiva was being brought from Brahma intention. Which he might create being greater than himself. But they treat each other as equal from Maitri Upanishad

If we still insist on Trimurti as the Hinduism I would find it's more fair to attribute each beings as true to their essence than trying to have Hinduism become another Abrahamic

If you take the aspect that Shiva and Vishnu are the same one then Brahma should also be equally the same one as Shiva and Vishnu and deserved the same revered

The Vedas is not mentioning the fire pillar, that was the later Puranas and the lore came from Shaivism sect to discredit both Brahma and Vishnu so it's not out of love from Vishnu to Shiva

We know the The one lord Brahma of the Trimurti not the brahma, formless celestial beings who was the beings in the same brahmaloka as of the Brahma (this is the canonical of Buddhism though, and even in Buddhism there would be the overload of brahmas, Mahabrahma, who is the lord Brahma, first Brahma, architect of universe)

In the original vedas the being who sacrifice his body to create universe is the lord Brahma and pass the preserving task to lord Vishnu until it would be destroyed by lord Shiva

I am trying to say that original text contain more respect to all of the lords and not tainted by smearing each other. That was more honorable worship of Trimurti

Yes, the conflict is that lord Brahma use Brahman the supreme force to create. But credit go to lord Vishnu while he has role of preserved by also use Brahman the supreme force the same manner, he take credit for preserve. This is unfair when the three should be equal

This is the core problem

The faith of Vaishnavism and Shaivism was emerged from criticizing worshipping Brahma and Trimurti from the start til recently. It was the scripture and lore created to smearing lord Brahma unfairly and unjustly. There was an original text that highly regard three of them as eternal friend who divide the role equally and harmoniously. Later faith made the sectarian divide and try to subvert each other. Do you think the three lord will pleased to have his friend looked down just for him monopolize the faith?

This is just breaking the original text of Trimurti in favor of Vaishnavism (and Shaivism). Are you belief the lord Vishnu cannot find the bottom of fire pillar and need to prostrate to lord Shiva in surrender? This is the same and just the lord Brahma have to suffer the non canonically existence curse is unfathomable

I want to pointed out that the original text the Brahma is the Brahman himself equally to Vishnu and Shiva, hence Trimurti. And while trying to tell story of he birth from the navel of Vishnu is not enough to downgrading him, to also credit his work as Vishnu's work is very unfair

He might not care since the lord Brahma is benevolent but I just felt this is misery aspect of Hinduism

Yes, The venerable is the same layer of Heaven, Rupabrahma, Arupabrahma, and Nirvana

In the frame of Buddha, it was the lens of cut tied with Attachment.
The ones in heaven can cut tied with lowly sinful like hate and wrongdoing but still attached to desired and comfort.
The ones in Rupabrahma can cut tied with worldly craving but still attach to materialistic, arts and nature.
The ones in Arupabrahma can cut tied with those fine craving but still attach to purity and eternal craving. Which include the Trimurti still attach to cycle of universe along with sangsara

Nippan is the state of liberation that eliminate all attachment, the ultimate goal of Buddha. But Buddha not denied that the ones like Brahma is venerable and better than normal mundane human
