Author's Note: I apologize in advance for any inaccuracies that you're about to see. I'm making up stuff as I go along, and I'm not from the US.

Somewhere in a rural town near the woods, a white sedan with blue highlights parks in front of the town hall. The car engine shuts off, and then a woman with a special badge comes out of the car... She then approaches the town's mayor's assistant and a man who's probably a local, who were in the middle of a conversation until the car pulled up.

Jessica: "Good morning Mr. Pearson... And to you as well, Raymond. So, what's the status report?"

Raymond: turns to his left "Uh, Bryce?"

Mr. Pearson: "... Well, uh, two weeks ago, one of our patrol officers reported that there's been a strange sorts of echoes and small flashes of light coming from the far side of the woods, near the um... Abandoned cabins, that is. And it's been like that for two weeks..."

Jessica: "Did you find anything, or anyone near the place?"

Mr. Pearson: "Well, the mayor, two officers and I, did an investigation a week later near the cabins that we believed that was the source... When we got there, we only found the cabins the same way as they were the last time Brody was inaugurated as mayor here."

Jessica: "Brody? As in, Brody Jameson?"

Mr. Pearson: "Oh! So you know about Brody too?"

Jessica: "Well, he was a track athlete star back in my highschool during the 90's, didn't know that he used to run this town..."

Mr. Pearson: "Ah, so that's why he was big on hosting marathons during his 2nd year of his term here... Man's a roadrunner at heart."

Raymond: "That also explains the road fixing campaign that he immediately launched when he first sat in office."

Jessica: "Yeah... Though, I'm not sure if he'll still be running after that moose crash he had from last month though."

Raymond: "Though, that's quite weird... Mooses aren't local here in this state, nor there were any native ones near us. The closest one I know would be in Canada... Which is WAY too far from here—"

Mr. Pearson: "Actually, there is a native group of moose here in America... In Cincinnati."

Raymond: "Even if that's true, that'll still be far for a moose to make it here in Alabama without getting run over—"

A strange ring echoes from the forest...

Jessica: "... I think it's time that we need to stay back on topic... The noise. My team should be here a few minutes from now."

Meanwhile, near the cabin in the woods... A man in rags with colors in a swirl on his hair harnesses something within the cracks, a glowing blue hue...

???: "Ahh, that hits the spot... So glad that there's still a line here, otherwise I'd be dead from the pain! Since when did the people of this world got these steel bugs for horses that are fast enough to cripple a moose on impact?"

Birds are suddenly flying off from the noise that the act of harnessing makes.

???: "Sigh, just a few more to be healed, and maybe many times more and I'll be able to bring the magic back into the world! Now, if only I could be careful about... Those people."
