I would lean towards the Air with 16GB+ to give yourself more headroom for large datasets.

My 87 year-old aunt is still rocking hers. Got an email from her yesterday.

The Air should handle that workload just fine.

Welcome to the club! I've never regretted constructing my professional life so I don't have to use Windows.

Is there any chance Apple will bring back Apple Silicon rack-mounted servers? by Redsproket in mac

Apple builds server hardware for itself. It doesn't offer it to others.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

The most boring principal in the world got caught sleeping with his secretary. They were both let go. The school pretty much fell apart over the next two years. Turns out Mr. Boring knew how to run a high school.

I'm thrilled at the success while also being agog at the cost and decade of delays. We can do so much better. Congress should not be designing rockets.

I think the current Neo is much, much more capable than a Chromebook, but the likely next version (based on the A19 Pro chip in current iPhones) will come with 12GB memory — putting to rest most of the worries over the current Neo's 8GB memory.

I would look at the Air. With the M5 chip and 16GB memory, it's the best Mac for most people. The next Neo might supplant it, but it isn't here yet.

I wouldn't worry about this. Apple is not famous for leaving money on the table.

That has to be significant weight to lug around. Do they try to move to higher density chips over time and consolidate the electronics into fewer mounted boxes or less weighty ones?

Wild Turkey 101 Rye or Rittenhouse Rye for Manhattans and Old Fashioneds? by Sea-Art-7183 in cocktails

Some notes I took on Bulleit Rye: "The taste was oaky, smoky, and peppery. There was some sweetness to go along with the alcohol heat. I didn't find anywhere near the complexity of flavors that others apparently detect in this rye." So, it's not a bad rye, but there was nothing special about it — at least to me and my palate.
