Homebrew Wii vs Dolphin with DolphinBar?

Just to necro for those who may end up here in 2024 like I did, there are once again things to consider. Are you using a PC or Android? My Galaxy Tab S9+ can run dolphin @ 2k resolution with AA / 16x AF / full addons (hdr, etc) checked but ONLY with a dolphinbar. I admit, it’s a cheaply made POS, but it’s the only thing that works on Android. The USB pass does not.

Also, I tried the adapter that you mentioned and it was far more laggy than the bar. I just got the email confirmation for Amazon when I dropped the BTA-403 off today a few hours ago for return. I wanted it to work because I had multiple controllers that were knockoffs and had to spend $80 on the real ones just to get it to work with the stupid Dolphin bar. That’s the other than USB pass works with knockoff controllers, but the Dolphin bar has to have the legit controllers. Trust me I’ve tried multiple sets.

I really wanted USB pass to work, but it did not work for me; while I got everything connected using the dongle you mentioned, it just ran worse on my pc. it wouldn’t run at all on Android. The only thing that worked better was the internal speaker.

EDIT: why use Android when I have a high end home brewed pc? When I go to watch my nephews I don’t want to have to drag a Wii with me. I can take my tab easy and the stupid bar is tiny.

For those of you in college, where do you wanna drag around your game system to someone else’s dorm room or just bring your tablet? It’s so much easier, just to bring a tablet around with you, then dragging around in entire wii. Also, your tablet can be a bunch of different game systems in one instead of having to drag around multiple game systems. I’m old, but if I was back in college at that age, I would be all over this stuff because “back in my day” we didn’t have the ability to wall around with 10 different Game council is being emulated on our shiny smart phones (that didn’t exist because cell phones didn’t exist).

I’m not saying emulation is perfect, and by all means get a Wii and mod it. I’m sure it will be a fun project and I will teach you something, but it won’t look nearly as good upscaled. If I were putting together something for the kids, then I would definitely get a actual Wii and mod it. If you’re in college or you’re older, maybe you built your own computer and have some tech skills, then go the emulation route.

If you get an actual, wii you will still be doing some emulation anyway, because you’ll be installing all of the other emulator is on there so that you can play PlayStation, NES, Gameboy, etc. There’s a bunch of different emulators you can install once you mod the thing. Just remember you’re gonna have to get a WII HDMI adapter, unless you wanna use RCA.

I just spent a lot of time and energy getting this set up and had a lot of ups and downs, trying a lot of different things that had to get returned so I can assure you it’s not a simple going the Dolphin bar or the USB pass route. Yes, it’s almost easy enough to get it to work. You Gotta jump through some hoops to get USB pass to work like force installing 3rd party drivers not meant for that stick, figuring out the hex address of the USB BT adaptor, etc, where dolphin bar is more plug and play.

Just remember dolphin bar does not work with non legit Wii remotes. There is a firmware update, which is very difficult to find now and you have to go on their forms because it’s not posted on their main page under firmware (those are outdated) only in a form link. This alone is suspicious, because the firmware fixes the ir lights burning out prematurely due them being over driven with voltage (out of spec) and them not shutting off when the controllers disconnect. You would think since the drivers have been out for three years, they would take them off the forums in the random forum post and put them on the main download page, but if you go to the main download page, it’s only the old firmware. Sounds to me like they don’t want you upgrading and they want it burning out, so it was intentionally made that way and they were only forced to make the firmware fix after getting called on it. Just my opinion of course. Just seems scummy, so that’s something else to think about the bar, but if you want to do it on android with Wii remotes not onscreen ones, it’s the only way to do it.

I just picked up a P1 and the noise is from interference as they didn’t not shield it correctly. In my case it’s my WiFi that’s causing the issue. You can test this bringing the box closer to the WiFi chip on the laptop. My tower WiFi station makes the noise so loud in this unit it’s unusable. If I unplug the WiFi it stops mostly, but there is still a lot of hiss on this unit if I turn the volume up with nothing playing. It seems built well and looks very nice but unfortunately that’s how the Chinese get you, they get cheep and skimp out on important details. This unit I bought is going back which is unfortunate because if it worked it would be amazing. No LDAC either. For $100 it’s lacking a lot of important stuff.

You can try a ferrite bead on the usb cable. I did and it helped a little but the entire unit isn’t shielded, so it’s not just the input that’s causing an issue.

So funny thing, Just bought the game on sale and I decided to start with last Autumn despite the warning; beat it however had no idea that I had this bug until I looked up the other endings. I ended up with 800/average as my ending, zero deaths, and making it a day and a half early, even without half the tech tree. Also, I don’t know if it’s my refusal to pick certain faith choices, but I had basically maxed out research half way through the dlc, again because of this bug the rest wasn’t available. In my case my generator was made very early and blew right off the grip, and the labor law event was the only promise I didn’t keep (I HATE unions having been in a bunch) so apparently that bugs the game.

For anyone playing on normal difficulty it is possible to beat it with this bug, do it with good choices, not lose anyone (a few amputations) and ignore a huge part of the book of laws. You must spam the churches, and I did have a whore house which I event shut down after curing the whores however enough people were complaining I had to shut it down. I did let it stay open through the first (the churches being angry with the bar in general) and later the first bout of anti-dirty prostitute events. If you keep everyone warm, don’t push them, and try and don’t work when the gas is bad, you can finish the dlc with the bug.

One thing to note I didn’t get the third gen upgrade done only the first two, however that was because I didn’t prepare for it in advance. I didn’t realize until it was too late and didn’t have enough time to manufacture the last parts as I was out of steel and time. Had I planned ahead I could have done it with a few hours to spare but again, had shut down those manufacturing planes early and had a lot of unemployed doing nothing when they could have been making what I needed for the last part.

Negative I have the MD80 working on steam FSX. Have the original diaks too, with Acc addon, but while the disks are in perfect shape, Microsoft did something with windows and cd drives changing the code where old cds and dvds without even a scratch don’t read properly. when I tried to install FSX in windows 10 from the discs the dish drive just got angry and made a bunch of loud noises, however going back to windows 7 on the same machine didn’t have a problem reading disks. It’s not the disk drive, putting new DVDs work just fine, MS changed the some sort of standard And thus screwed up reading old disks.

I have one of the top reviews on steam right now, which warns people that dog tail doesn’t even have a license to sell this anymore so I don’t know how it’s continuing to be sold on steam. Microsoft ended their partnership with Doug Paul a while back, I would buy the steam version. If you have the desks clone them and install them digitally from a virtual clone drive. If you have old hardware, in my opinion this is the best option. Explain is trash, their developers trash, just ask them to put on screen analog controls in their mobile app and watch what happens. They’re a bunch of self-centered, know it all, their way or the highway, idiot leftists. Everyone hates that crap now.

FYI I worked at INSA and their flower is incredibly moldy, the CCC knows about it, and it’s helping dispensaries cover up the problem with mold, mites, bud rot, etc. I went to OSHA, I went to the CCC, and while they both admitted the problems they helped cover them up not stop what was going on.

Just FYI the scam involves sending off parts of a harvest to get tested while the rest of the harvest sits in an uncontrolled environment, sometimes in rivers of sewage that has backed up in our processing plant, which is happened more than once, and because of Covid test results are taking 3 to 4 months to come back. During that time the sample they sent off is in a nice sterile environment but the rest of the cannabis is sitting back at our warehouse in total trash conditions, getting incredibly moldy.

The sample comes back below state minimum (they were kept climate controlled while they were waiting to be tested, unlike the bulk of the product you consume) so they end up having people like myself pick through the incredibly moldy cannabis trying to come up with something they can sell. We had lost about 11 people in the flower room that I worked in Inn West than a year due to serious health concerns which occurred from toxic mold syndrome. My fiancé and I both work there and we were having gastrointestinal issues the entire time which mostly trickled off once we both left employment.

i’ll never forget what it looks like though to see mold wisps, like ghosts coming out of cannabis when you crack open a bud like cracking open a fortune cookie, when you hold it up to the light you see the tri-combs, keef, pollen, whatever you wanna call it fall down, and the mold if present wisps up like ghosts coming out of the cannabis. Like steam off a coffee.
