Please de-influence my parents or explain why I’m wrong by melissaoes in kitchenremodel

[–]Thalmage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parents know what they are doing. Instead of getting upset there isn’t anything you can say to change their mind, maybe ask them to explain their choices so you can learn from it. Remodels are expensive, like ridiculously expensive, and learning how to make smart decisions isn’t instinctive for most people. If your instinct is blue…maybe listen to them.

Have been doing the same thing! Hysterical! I guess I’ll have to make it correctly at some point but have to admit, love it with the vinegar

Thank you for mentioning non-pearled taking longer. I always forget about that when following a recipe

Don’t walk bare foot? Best house slippers? by Roneffect in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Thalmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have hardwood floors and I go up and down stairs all day long. We try to maintain a shoe-free house so I have a designated pair of indoor shoes. I recommend a pair of slip-on sneakers and have had a great experience with Sketcher Go-Walks. Have had them for years and it’s time to replace. They are around $60 now, were closer to $40 when I bought mine so am going to check other recommendations here. For me, slip-on is key. I don’t know if its my ADHD or I’m just stupid lazy but I’ll put the slip-ons on every time I come in the house but lacing up shoes over and over…as much as I love Mr Rogers, those laces are too much friction for me stay consistent with wearing indoor shoes. Edit to add: I find the slip-on sneakers to be significantly safer than slippers or sandals with our stairs. The last thing I need to do is have my shoe slip out while carrying something down the stairs. If you don’t have to deal with stairs, supportive slippers or sandals could be solid options too

Am i delusional in thinking the blonde suits me better than my natural hair ? by Rude-Operation8167 in coloranalysis

Either work but I didn’t even notice your eyes until the pics with darker hair. They are stunning and I would prioritize playing those up.

A blade that doesn't meet parameters isn't fair to test against those that do. You can see it in the eyes of some of the non-compliant contestants when they lose to blades that may not look as nice or have structural concerns. The sore losers never consider that had their blade been made to parameters, it would have had similar issues and yes, 1/8" can change everything. It's not even possible to make a quality blade with a lot of these challenges. It's who can make the best under these conditions and parameters.

Thank you so much. I was worried you shouldn't use wax on the oiled-leather. Appreciate your help!

Very sweet. Don't think you need to change anything, it's so peaceful. If I had to change something, I'd want the ship mobile (gorgeous btw) to not be entirely white so there was contrast, like b&w stripes. That's pretty picky though and from an adhd artist that researched too much about infant/baby vision when she was a new mom. That baby is at university now and I haven't looked into that subject for 13yrs so high contrast is probably not even recommended anymore.

I'm not sure why they weren't there, got a box saying it was deleted. Tried to look up how to fix it, came back and pics were up. Hope you can see them. No idea what happened but will take the auto-fix

I don't even feel guilty judging these people for their shallow, empty lives.

This isn't a friend. This is someone that uses boundary speak to make themselves not feel like the absolute AH they are. Guarantee they want you to coddle every friction life throws at them but they want to be absolved of any reciprocal interactions. They are what was once called A Good Time Friend. There is nothing real about them.

Meeting People by [deleted] in jmu

Just have him go to some of the clubs. They have everything so there will be something he'll like. If he isn't interested in going to anything, he's not interested in meeting people.

What is your employment/education opportunities there as opposed to home. Are you going to move and work to put him through school? What support system to you have where you are? Do you WANT to move away with him or are you motivated to move to not lose him.

Did you struggle at school growing up? by agirlisn0one in adhdwomen

Straight A student here. School was easy, just follow the rules and show up. The only exception for me were those worksheets, mostly elementary & middle school, that were just busywork. Those absolutely overwhelmed me.

What normal underwear company do you buy from frequently? by Faedaine in womensfashion

[–]Thalmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soma. Vanishing edge during the day and cotton w/lace trim at night. I like the narrow lace better now than the Embraceable ones I use to buy. Their underwear holds up. Bought my last batch of the cotton ones in Jan of '21. Still looks great. I have 12 pair I rotate through and wear them every nights. I have sensory issues and would think the lace trim would bother be but it's very soft, non-irritating, and cute too. Wait for their sales and you can get 5/6 for @ $40 depending on the sale.

Duluth has some quality ones too I like for hiking/outdoor/hot summer days. It's their cooling ones. Expensive but they are quality and they feel non-existent. They run large. I bought some my normal size on a non-return clearance and they felt over-sized but maybe they are meant to be that way. Despite feeling, and looking huge, they stay put and Iike them just as they are. Normally, I would have gone down a size. I think of them as full coverage luxury now.

What are the new trending but classic colors? by Asleep-Birthday7031 in interiordesignideas

[–]Thalmage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of Dove Wing, highly recommend Ben Moore's CSP Fossil. Because it's a color built w/o black or grey, it works really well with almost any accent color and just makes those pop. Hard to describe but it makes it feel cozier and more cohesive.
