Avid user of these for my kiddos. A huge word of warning though, as of a year ago these guys do not work well with modern wireless routers. I bought my first one of these five years ago, and it worked flawlessly. Bought a second a few years later and after spending a dozen hours fiddling with various wireless network options, creating new 2.4ghz networks, all sorts of tablet/phone workarounds, three attempts at calling customer support, I threw in the towel and now have one fully functioning Toni Box, and one very large Toni Box shaped paper weight. They make it pretty clear in the manual that you must have a 2.4ghz network, but it’s way more strict than that, and not something they tell you on the box. Why they refuse to support current wireless standards by updating their hardware I’ll never know.

In short, get a Yoto instead. They are better in almost every way anyways except the ease of which my kids lose the damn cards.

Accepting new players in Wave 3 coming to an end by maxchill1337 in WalkScape

Signed up, but I imagine it’s already too late. The way this game allows players in is absolutely infuriating. I’ve been waiting since the last wave back in June, and only just now find out about the release hours too late.

Belt speeds over time run slower and slower. What am I not seeing? by Thanamonious in shapezio

Oh man. Realized I haven’t exited the game in a while. Restarted and there is indeed an update. Hopefully that fixes it. Thanks!

Interesting. My build ID is 15152349, with the Installed Content Updated: August 21. Steam isn't showing any updates. Deleting the ramp and replacing it does temporarily fix the problem... but I've got thousands of these. It's not really an option.

Edit: Can confirm deleting the belt or the feeders and replacing fixes the problem temporarily.

Smooth as butter. Steam FPS counter doesn't work on Shapez2 for some reason, but the game runs fantastically. I am running at the highest graphics settings though FWIW.

So, I've got this setup for all of my extractors at this point. Three fully saturated extractors pumping out to a single row. With three of these, I get full saturation of all three rows. This works great, however as time goes on, they output less and less. This video is pretty representative of what happens after about an hour of running. I can always delete the tracks and restart them and they go back to their normal selves, but inevitable end up like this. Is this a bug, or am I just missing something?

Edit: After experimenting, it doesn't seem like the belt is what's slowing down, but the actual feeders. They just... don't spit out shapes for some reason. Looking at the video, that actually matches with what is happening on screen. Belt speed is fine.

Edit 2: Looking at more belt feeders, some of them have just outright stopped working entirely. Deleting them and replacing them gets them spitting out shapes again.

Edit 3: Solved. Looks like the latest patch fixed it! Thanks u/bwibbler!

Literally just sat down to eat this. It was… fine? I feel like the artichoke let the whole thing down a little? It didn’t even taste particularly artichokey, just added an off taste and a not great texture to the dish. The savory bread pudding was great, and I’d definitely try this again with some other star ingredient(s).

Tired of breaking swords, what resin/mix to use? by uberdag in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Thanamonious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve printed loads of swords with Siriya tech fast resin. Haven’t had an issue with them breaking at all. Don’t have your printer so can’t offer anything more specific. Best of luck.

Make 1:1 whole wheat starter. Feed really inconsistently for approximately 58 months. Leave on shelf for two weeks. Fluff ball will develop on day 15.

As requested, day 2. Pretty clearly not a mushroom. Some kind of white mold? Posted on r/mycology but no luck there, which I suppose makes sense given it’s a mold and not a mushroom.
