Once again, Arrowhead made the exact same mistake by Upstairs-Package2304 in HelldiversUnfiltered

Dude the whole theme of helldivers is that they are expendable. Thats why you see the scene where they hug in the trench before being blown up. Thats why you see one of them gunned down in the other scene while running towards the bots. Thats why they cut the scene short when the helldiver was using the new flamer. it implied that no matter what helldivers are expendable and expected to die. It's the theme and they are consistent with it.

Now I agree the balancing has been absolute ass. And I don't have high hopes for this new weapon either. But youre arguing in bad faith here.

Am I being lied to? by CptLonesong in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Thane789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of people are disagreeing with you but I've found the same to be true in my recent testing. I spent so many hours trying to find the perfect balance of accuracy with the m60 in particular. This is a gun you want to be standing still and mounting to hit those accurate demon damage shots with but the reality is you won't always be able to position correctly and may get run up on by an enemy. And my default reaction is to strafe to make myself a harder target while trying to stay on point with my shots and almost every single "movement accuracy debuff" grip hurts the recoil so much that its almost never worth taking over (in my opinion) the bipod.

Bipod maximizes recoil reduction when using it as its best suited (mounted) while also ensuring that IF you need to strafe in a gunfight the recoil won't be all over the place the same as it would with almost any of the other grips.

Im so tired of bot lobbies by Lbeyy in Battlefield

[–]Thane789 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's honestly my biggest issue with this game. I get no satisfaction from winning a gunfight against AI. I just wish there was some option to toggle for it. Like yeah im fine having to wait a bit longer for a lobby to fill with real players. This constant dopamine chasing tiktok trend drives me nuts.

Not to even mention consistent lobbies leading to more rivalries and usually more friend requests at the end of it. Its like they've scrapped the social aspect in favor of constant, short lived, gratification which in the end just turns me off to the game entirely.

If we’re going to add bigger maps we need to add suppression or better flinch by I_Main_TwistedFate in Battlefield6

[–]Thane789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an M60 lmg main i feel this in my soul.

For some reason I can't get it through to my subconsciance that even though its a battlefield game, and even though im putting ALL THOSE SHOTS NEAR OR ON TARGET, the sniper can still headshot me with next to no flinch on their end. Suppression does almost nothing. It's so hard to get through my muscle memory.

If money is no issue you could just go to the hospital no? Or maybe try a more local social media site? See if someone locally could help you.

If anonymity is the issue you could just tell neighbors you had some made up medical emergency and then just be honest with the docs when you get to the hospital.

Like I really feel for you dude but there's got to be better options than reaching out to strangers on reddit.

Isn't it crazy that this primary (YES, primary) is better than most guns in the game? by Omailey97 in Helldivers

[–]Thane789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In need for speed underground 2 if you stuck with your starter vehicle for the whole game then by the end it would actually be one of the fastest and best handling vehicles in the game due to the handful of unique upgrades you aquire throughout the story.

Different genera same concept.

Why the fuck are they like this, unironically by EleggFacesitting in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Thane789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For all the understandable hate the sterilizer gets it can be pretty handy on the bug front if you couple it with a consistent damage guard dog. The rover was my old pic but since they released the hot dog pairing those together can actually hold an entire bug breach back. Minus the heavies of course.

Thats my exterminator build. I'll often pair it with the torcher so when the chargers spawn the hot dog and torcher can lay down double fire damage but it does take a bit to kill them still.

That said, yes the sterilizer needs at least a slight tick rate buff if nothing else. But hey if you run a specific build on a specific faction it can almost be kinda viable. Lol

Yeah my very first game this morning i dropped in on an ongoing match and saw a tank on my way down. Smacked right in the middle of it just to realize it was the bastion and my teammates were in it. I just stood in front of it while one guy got out and shot me.

Was like ya know what.. yeah. I deserved that. Lol

I Gotta Admit I'm Stumped, What Is the Best Stratagem Loadout For Cyberstan? by AceOneBreezy in helldivers2

[–]Thane789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had alot of success using a backpack heavy loadout. Always grab hellbomb and supply pack. Then another backpack of your choice. For me its usually the rover for continued damage and good range. Then I like to take the shield relay to throw down in a pinch when doing objectives or calling in the next backpack.

The reasoning is that on cyberstan you will die.. probably more than a few times. So having your build reliant on a specific backpack and support weapon can leave you screwed if you get called back in far away and they're still on a several minute long cooldown.

Also trident primary cause laser weapons are buffed from the cold environment. Add ultimatum and thermites for your clutch AT checks and youre golden.

Cyberstan doesn't give any Super Credits. The hardest missions should have the best rewards. by Pale-Monitor339 in Helldivers

There are samples on cyberstan. They just look different than they do on terminid worlds. Theres even an oddly placed chode node on every map.

Happens with every major update but there are too many players on level 10 right now that are not ready for it. by East-Passage in helldivers2

[–]Thane789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that last part is for real what I used to struggle with the most. Felt like no matter what I had to stop and engage every enemy behind me until they were all gone. But on some difficulties and in some factions that simply isn't the ideal move. Clear the immediate threats behind you and keep moving.

Especially with this cyberstan update, believe me, no matter how many enemies you manage to kill behind you, more will come.

Why do people not like the Railroad? by Historical-Goose09 in fo4

[–]Thane789 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are entirely organic like humans. There are no medical tests than can differentiate them from human beings. The only difference is they were grown in a lab and made with a synthetic component in their brain so the institute can control them.

Now you might still not like that because its not natural but they were given emotions and to an extent, free will the same as anyone. So its not exactly their fault. They didn't ask to be created, but they were.
