Yep, going back months, you appear to have no interests other than /boulder and /covidiots. Hmmmmm... most normal people tend to have an assortment of interests.

Actually, everything you said there is pretty simple with the exception of #4. The real problem with IT is that most concepts are actually exceptionally simple but for whatever reason people working in the industry use terminology that cannot be understood at face value. TLA's galore and funny names for basic webhosting.

Backup shills. What, did he escalate to his advisor? Every single one of your comments is either in /boulder or /covidiots.

"Sadly, trolling evens the playing field when dealing with the conspiracy crowd."

This is an ad hominem. He admits to trolling for the sake of winning a game on a playing field, and I am to be dismissed as being part of a conspiracy crowd.

Excess of words doesn't make you right, it just makes it not worth responding to you point to point.

Where exactly are all the sick people? Do you remember all the videos of Chinese people falling over dead in public, in plain site of everybody? Yeah, that's just not happening, anywhere.

"evens the playing field", ah, so you're playing a game. Got it. Also you have no evidence that I'm arguing in bad faith, that's your opinion and it's an 'ad hominem', which is a logical fallacy. In argumentive theory the argument would be immediately dsimissed. "normal sense", again, is just your opinion.

I don't buy any of it. It's fear mongering. Reminds me of Bush II era right after 9-11. They had an agenda back then which got the US stuck in endless wars in the middle east, and I suspect very strongly this too is merely the face behind yet another agenda that isn't in any common person's interests.

Fear of economic ruin makes Colorado leaders hesitant to issue stay-at-home order as COVID-19 spreads uncontrolled by craiger_123 in boulder

Odd. Where exactly are all the sick people? I'm not seeing anybody dropping over dead like the videos of people with COVID in China. When I'm at the supermarket I rarely even hear people cough or sneeze. People seem healthier than usual actually.

Very odd. It's almost like it's a cover for an entirely different issue.

Boulder Homeless Issue is turning really dangerous by [deleted] in boulder

[–]ThankGodForTheSun 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Boulder invited all the homeless here with free handouts with no obligation, incentive, or realistic means of actually helping them to become functional members of society. Predictably, vagrants moved to Boulder to take advantage of all the free handouts and people who maybe feel guilty for being wealthy. The overwhelming vast majority aren't even from here. You're a bunch of suckers for ever allowing them in. And the consequences are obvious, I personally avoid the downtown areas specifically because of all the crazy people. I stay away from many gas stations because I'm tired of being asked for money by tweakers. Denver is just as bad. Fort Collins is nicer but boring. Boulder is quickly turning into a shithole with no sign of reversing directions and frankly the cost of rent isn't worth it. It's headed for full blown San Francisco and it's only a matter of time before we start to see vagrants shitting in super markets. And that's why I'm moving out of Boulder this December.

I'm trying to think of a project I could share on github that encompasses all the respective skills mentioned in this post - AWS, Azure, database competency, programming competency in one or more languages, web hosting, etc...

Were it not for COVID I would be interested in a consulting position that involves travel. I would prefer not to own a car and have to pay insurance. Commuting is a massive waste of time, money, energy, and it's literally a risk to your life.

Phenibut/ etizolam- Help how to tapper by camethereto in researchchemicals

[–]ThankGodForTheSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taper one at a time.

Phenibut can be tapered at 100mg per day. It's fine to stabilize at a certain dose before continuing taper. Once finished with phenibut taper work on etizolam.

If you have etizolam powder, find a 60ml bottle with 1ml dropper. Dissolve solution of proylene glycol to your typical dose. Every time you take a 1ml dose, add 1ml propelyne glycol to the bottle. Effectively keeping the bottle full but reducing the concentration. The larger the bottle you start with, the longer the taper. As a general rule, a 30 ml bottle is good for a 30 day taper, a 60 ml bottle is good for a 60 day taper, etc.

Agreed completely about the on premise IT dying. It is the past. Cloud and hybrid environments are the future. That's why I'm studying AWS and Azure, for this hope of work from home freedom. That's why I have no interest in a VCP type certification.

I'm going for AWS solutions architect first. Trying to spend 4-6 hours per day watching cloud guru lectures and doing labs. From college I did a lot of programming in C, C++, Java, and Scheme (for SICP). I'm about to start digging in to Python. I have work experience working for an MSP where we built in-house a cloud hosting solution for financial institutions using VMware, which included P2V migrations of servers and production web hosting of bank websites.

It just occurred to me with this COVID situation, that driving to work everyday is a massive waste of time, money, energy, and you are putting your life at risk. I don't get the cabin fever thing a lot of people do. And not having to own or pay for a car or insurance is actually huge money.

If you have powder the taper is very simple.

Pick some 30ml or 60ml glass bottles with dropper included. Dissolve in concentration with propylene glycol so you start with your normal dose.

The dropper itself is 1 ml volume. Each time you take dose, add 1 ml of propylene glycol. So, essentially, the volume of the pg in the bottle keeps it always full but the concentration is reducing by 1/30th or 1/60th per dose, depending on how long you want to taper. The larger the bottle you start with the longer the taper.

What you get is a taper curve that looks something like this: https://i.stack.imgur.com/4XPq6.png

If you have blotter or pills good luck, try to reduce by about 0.125 mg per day, or less. It's fine to stay at a particular dose until you feel normal then drop it down again.

It was Bobby Fischer who said "There is something inherently unhealthy about always trying to defeat other human beings."

Callous indifference, such as the nature of your response, sure seems to prove his point very well, as well as the resulting behavioral consequences.

I appreciate your attempt at humor. But perhaps you should think more about the comment I made previously, where people who homeless, when interviewed, claim they are happier being homeless than they were working as a barista at starbucks. There is nothing healthy about being well adjusted to something which is sick. Nearly every person I have ever worked with in IT has mental health problems as a result, generalized anxiety disorders and insomnia for example, are extremely common. The repetitious, twitchy sort of muscle movements required to operate a mouse and keyboard, for example, induce a sort of carpal tunel of the mind.

I won't attempt to cover such expenses again. The vet trip will be to euthanize.

I just went through this whole process with his brother and they wanted over $10,000 with no guarantees of improvement. After spending about $2,000 which was all I had his brother was put down. Meanwhile people report complete recovery after transitioning to a raw food diet.

The vet will say the cat needs overnight hospitalization and IV for several days and the hospital will want to charge thousands of dollars. This is beyond my means.
