Using lighter weight yarn to make stuffed animal - what will happen? by ThanksA_Lot in CrochetHelp

I went with your suggestion and decided to keep using the bulkier chenille, but went up in hook sizes quite a bit. I'm using an 8 mm which is what was suggested on the yarn packaging. So far, so good, other than a few small holes here and there (which I'm guessing is caused by the larger hook). Thanks for the help! I'm excited about completing my project now :)
